Apple MacBook Air (11-inch, 2011)
The 11-inch MacBook Air has been on a tear ever since it first debuted back in October of 2010, combining a razor-thin design with instant-on responsiveness for an affordable price.
Pros:
- Comfortable backlit keyboard
- Faster Core i5 processor
- Very thin and light
- Flash memory helps machine wake instantly
- Bright display with wide viewing angles
- Thunderbolt support
Cons:
- Below-average battery life
- Starting configuration has only 64GB of storage
- No SD card slot

Apple MacBook Air 11in (mid-2012) review
If you don't need quad-core processing power, but still require a stable, comfortable keyboard to do your writing, this year's refreshed Apple MacBook Air 11in (which starts at £849) might be the chariot you're looking for.
Pros:

- Speedy enough with an Ivy Bridge CPU

I've been a keen Apple user since 1994 now, and I don't consider myself to be a particularly technically minded person - in other words, I feel that I am the core audience (no pun intended) for the company.

Macbook Air 11″ (July 2011) Review
Macbook gets an average life to around 5 hours with screen brightness set to medium and laptop brightness turned off. Oh yes, I forgot to mention, it comes with a backlit keyboard! This is great for anybody who is on the go and is often in dark rooms or just when there is no light.

Apple MacBook Air 11-inch (Mid 2013)
For the amount you're paying many will ask why there isn't a HDMI port or an Ethernet port or why Apple hasn't upgraded the screens resolution. In short the Apple MacBook Air is all about style and incorporates the minimal performance for such a price.
Pros:
- Great battery life
- Thin
- Lightweight
- Comfortable multi-touch trackpad
- Backlit keyboard
Cons:
- No SD card slot
- No Ethernet port
- No HDMI port

- Blazing fast performance
- same lightweight and chic design as with the previous Air model
- excellent value
- now with backlit-keyboard too
- perfect for laptop serious travelers and those always on the go
- super responsive – and did we mention how fast it is!
Cons:
- Base $999 configuration only comes with 2GB of ram
- lacks SD card slot
- we're not sold on Thunderbolt yet

Review Apple MacBook Air 11 Mid 2011 (1.6 GHz, 128 GB SSD) Subnotebook
The Toshiba Satellite Z830 10J changes hands for a grand. The user benefits from the lightest 13.3 inch ultrabook (1110 grams) of all times. Even the MacBook Air 13 is heavier with 1330 grams.
