Great addition to a 4K TV for those who want a complete Apple product.

Works seamlessly with my phone and watch. Using it for my Apple Music library and to combine all the streaming apps. Only issue is how it cannot detect frame rate differences in video clips and Australian catch up apps.

Apple® TV 4K

Better than expected recommend if you don't already have a smart TV turns any TV with HDMI capability into a smart TV. I just have HDMI hooked up to both TVs and just move the box with me from upstairs to downstairs living alone I don't have to worry about two people watching TV at the same time

Best Streaming Box

The Apple TV 4K is, in my experience, the best streaming box currently available. The A10X Fusion chip ensures that everything runs extremely smoothly. Films, TV, music and games all run seamlessly using Apple's built-in apps, and all of the main streaming services are now available, including All4,...

Love everything except 3 stars for the remote

So far, I love everything about the Apple TV 4k... great picture, great that it syncs with my itunes account, great that I can get Dolby Atmos streaming. However, the remote is enough to drop it down from five+ stars to a 4- (low 4) rating. What is the problem with the remote
Pros:
  • Small
  • seems to run cool (unlike some other streaming devices)
  • excellent video and audio processing (best picture and audio of any of my streaming devices) Bought for integration with my itunes account and tv and movie playlists and am not disappointed about that
Cons:
  • As mentioned
  • the remote
  • without a fast forward/skip or reverse/skip back button is almost useless

Overly pleased

This is one of the best gadgets around and should become a Christmas bestseller. The contents is high standard and the quality matches the brand. I recommend it, specially if you want to avoid Sky's extortionate packages. AO customer service is 10/10 and delivery was super fast. Overall very pleased

Apple TV 4K review: Stunning, but strictly for Apple fans

Apple debuted the Apple TV 4K in 2017, and despite ongoing software updates that keep it a streaming force to be reckoned with, the hardware has remained the same, and so has its price. For the first year or so following its launch, Apple could justify the $179 starting price for the 32GB model (the 64GB model costs $199), after all, it was one of the few streaming devices on the market that supported 4K, Dolby Vision, and Dolby Atmos. It could even be considered as one of the best streaming devices available. But it’s now 2020 and Apple’s competitors have not been standing still. Roku updated its flagship $100 Ultra, Amazon launched and continues to update its $120 Fire TV Cube, Nvidia up its game on the $150 Shield TV, and Google officially entered the remote-based media streamer category with the incredibly affordable $50 Chromecast with Google TV. Apple’s little black box still does a few things better than these other products, but that list is dwindling, making it increasingly di...
Pros:
  • Extremely intuitive interface
  • Siri search/control is vastly improved
  • Powerful graphics and processing
  • Beautiful 4K HDR picture
Cons:
  • Slightly dim SDR content in some cases
  • No longer the only way to do AirPlay
  • Expensive compared to competition
