BlackBerry Curve 3G 9300 review

The BlackBerry Curve 3G is a holding pattern device rather than one that treads any truly new ground
Pros:
  • Small and neat
  • top edge music controls are very convenient
  • good battery life
  • mobile email is as super as ever
Cons:
  • BlackBerry OS 6 is not here - though you will be able to add it later
  • poor camera
  • small screen
  • keyboard slightly less good than we'd expect

BlackBerry Curve 3G 9300 review Review

The BlackBerry Curve 3G 9300 is an uninspiring, but perfectly adequate, update to the Curve smart-phone range. Its 3G connectivity is a welcome addition, but a disappointingly unresponsive trackpad is a real letdown.
Pros:
  • Great connectivity
  • Dedicated music keys
  • Will get updated to BlackBerry 6 OS
  • Excellent email support
  • Long battery life
Cons:
  • Unresponsive optical trackpad
  • Pretty boring overall
  • Requires a BlackBerry contract
  • Apps tend to be fewer and pricier than those of competing platforms

Editor's Review of the Curve 3G

It may be pitched as an entry level smartphone, but the Curve 3G packs a 2.4-inch screen, a full QWERTY keypad and high-speed connectivity

BlackBerry Curve 3G 9300

The BlackBerry Curve 3G is not a big advance. The screen resolution could be better, and we'd appreciate more internal memory. It brings the Curve range up to date, but would have more impact with BlackBerry OS 6 preinstalled.
Pros:
  • Adds 3G and GPS to the Curve range
  • Compact and familiar design
Cons:
  • Runs BlackBerry OS 5 (OS 6 upgrade is on the way
  • Screen resolution could be higher
  • Not a huge advance on the previous model

RIM BlackBerry Curve 9300

BlackBerry Curve 3G 9300

Tweet It is not an overstatement to say that the BlackBerry Curve 8520 is extremely popular, so much so that some like to call it the 3310 of its time. Research In Motion has done the obvious to improve this modern classic – adding 3G.
Pros:
  • 3G included
  • great email and apps
  • can upgrade to OS6
Cons:
  • Still the same screen and battery
  • boring 2 megapixel camera

I like it!!

So its a tweaked up version of the 8530. I like it. My main reason for getting it was the price and the fact it was 3G. My 8900 got caught in a fire a couple days prior to this one being released and it does exactly what I need it to do work.

BlackBerry Curve 3G (T-Mobile)

The BlackBerry Curve 3G is probably the least mysterious phone upgrade in America. It takes the now-familiar Curve 8520 design-itself a modest refresh of the popular 8320-and adds a 3G radio for T-Mobile subscribers, in addition to the phone's excellent UMA Wi-Fi calling feature.
Pros:
  • 3G speeds on T-Mobile's network
  • Awesome Wi-Fi calling feature
  • Stellar battery life
  • Loud speakerphone
Cons:
  • Third-party app catalog still lags
  • Low-res camera

BlackBerry Curve 3G (9300) Review

The BlackBerry Curve 3G retains all the features and characteristics of the original Curve device, throwing in high-speed 3G data for good measure. With Wi-Fi also onboard it represents excellent connectivity options and ensures a smoother browsing and downloading experience.

REVIEW: BlackBerry Curve 3G 9300

The BlackBerry Curve 9300 is definitely a lesser BlackBerry, but the price reflects that. The camera leaves much to be desired, the keyboard isn't the most comfortable thing in the world, and web surfing can be an exercise in frustration.
