The BlackBerry Curve 9300 is definitely a lesser BlackBerry, but the price reflects that. The camera leaves much to be desired, the keyboard isn't the most comfortable thing in the world, and web surfing can be an exercise in frustration.

The BlackBerry Curve 9300 is one of the most talked about smartphones on the market today due to its exciting new features and media capabilities. Contrary to its predecessor, the BlackBerry Curve 8520, this newer version supports 3G connectivity and has created an upsurge in usage.

I have mixed feelings about the new BlackBerry Curve 3G. On the one hand, it's an affordable smartphone with some decent entry-level features. But it's also missing a few key features--such as the latest BlackBerry OS and a high-res screen--that could make the Curve 3G a must-have device.

The BlackBerry Curve 3G 9300 is an uninspiring, but perfectly adequate, update to the Curve smart-phone range. Its 3G connectivity is a welcome addition, but a disappointingly unresponsive trackpad is a real letdown. The BlackBerry Curve 3G 9300 is a perked-up version of the entry-level BlackBerry Curve 8520, with 3G connectivity and slightly more oomph under the hood. But its trackpad is frustrating, and it offers absolutely nothing to get excited about. Overall, the Curve 3G is the definition of 'decent but dull'.
