Fujifilm X-T3 review: Setting the standard for mirrorless
Overall, the Fujifilm X-T3 manages to take one of the best all-round compact system cameras and make it better in every department. It's a mirrorless marvel, that's for sure. There are still some areas that could be further refined: certain lenses won't make the most of the autofocus system; there's...
Pros:
- Great OLED electronic viewfinder and tri-adjustable LCD screen
- 100% frame coverage for autofocus
- Impressive speed (11fps burst) and autofocus ability
- 4K60 will be attractive for some
- Doesn't amp the price point over predecessor
Cons:
- Touchscreen lacks sensitivity/response
- Smallest autofocus point not the fastest
- Dioptre adjustment fiddly to use
- No compatibility with X-T2 grip (due to new footprint

The Fujifilm X-T3 is arguably the best stills/video camera on the market right now. More expensive full frame cameras will offer better still image quality and cameras with in-body image stabilization will be easier to shoot video with, but nothing offers this balance of image quality and movie...
Pros:
- A bit of everything
- especially if that everything includes video
Cons:
- Sports shooting at the highest levels

Fujifilm X-T3 Review
As a stills camera the X-T3 is a pleasant update to one of our favorite APS-C cameras, significantly improving the autofocus. If you're interested in stills and video, though, it's knockout. The lack of stabilization holds the video back a touch but as a compact, relatively affordable do-everything camera, it's impressive.
Pros:
- A bit of everything, especially if that everything includes video.
Cons:
- Sports shooting at the highest levels.

Fujifilm X-T3
The X-H1 came out earlier this year, so we expect it'll be some time before Fujifilm gives us the X-H2, which will presumably match or better the X-T3 in autofocus and capture rate.
Pros:
- 26MP BSI APS-C image sensor
- 20fps full-resolution shooting
- 30fps at 16.6MP
- Full sensor autofocus coverage
- 4K video
- Dust and splash protection
- Bluetooth and Wi-Fi
Cons:
- Omits in-body stabilization
- No built-in flash
- Battery life could be better
- Banding can be an issue when using the electronic shutter

Fujifilm X-T3 Review
The mirrorless Fujifilm X-T3 camera features the best autofocus tracking system Fuji has delivered to date, but is a bit power hungry and doesn't offer sensor stabilization. Fujifilm is updating its popular X-T2 mirrorless camera in a big way. The X-T3 ($1,499.95, body only) has a new sensor and processor, squeezing 26.1MP into an APS-C form factor and supporting up to 30fps Raw image capture with minimal viewfinder blackout. It's not quite the affordable version of Sony's full-frame Sony a9, which shoots at 20fps with no blackout, as the sensor readout isn't as speedy, but it's a solid option for photographers capturing fast-moving action using the mechanical shutter and a speedy 11fps shooting rate. And while it omits the in-body image stabilization offered by the a9 and the pricier Fujifilm X-H1, it's also smaller and more affordable than either. All About the Dials Fujifilm is offering the X-T3 in both black and silver versions for the same price. This is a departure from previous models, which have started in black and later garnered a special edition Graphite Silver version at a higher cost after the initial launch. As with other premium X camer...

Great image quality in a perfect form factor
A quick note about my background. I earned a living as a professional photographer for 10 years while living in NYC. I started with film cameras and made the switch to digital in 2002 when I purchased a Fuji S2 Pro which at the time had the best resolution of the major brands and built on a Nikon...

Often labelled poor man's Leica for it's retro design, X-T3 is a stellar camera that continues challenging the FF need for an amateur, enthusiast and even professionals (to an extend).

Fujifilm X-T3 promises epic action autofocus and more for the money
Edge-to-edge AF points, 11fps continuous shooting and 10-bit DCI 4K video in-camera for $1,500. Fujifilm packs the X-T2's successor with a ton of new capabilities for the money. The X-T3 boasts a new 26-megapixel backside-illuminated (BSI) version of the company's CMOS X-Trans 4 sensor, with millions of phase-detection autofocus points that cover the entire frame; the ability to record 10-bit Cinema 4K/30p video to SD card (albeit in 4:2:0 H.265); a bump from a dual-core X-Processor image-processing engine to quad core for improved performance for operations like continuous shooting and applying its film simulations; and more.
