Fujifilm X100V review: The fixed-lens champion
You might need to be as rich as a king to buy one, but then the X100V is indeed king of the fixed-lens compacts. Close-up shooting at wide-open aperture settings is still a problem, but the addition of a bracket-mounted touchscreen show that Fuji is evolving this series for the better.- Adds useful tilt-angle bracket for screen
- Unique hybrid viewfinder is amazing
- Great lens and image quality
- It's a camera like no other - in looks and operation
- Lens isn't silent
- Close-up focus still has sharpness limitations
- It's rather expensive
- Should be weather-sealed out of the box (rather than optional kit)
Fujifilm X100V Review
The Fujifilm X100V is the camera to get if you like the idea of a Leica rangefinder, but also want modern amenities like autofocus and video. The Fujifilm X100V ($1,399.95) is the fifth iteration of the company's chic, retro-styled compact camera. As with earlier entries, it includes a hybrid optical/electronic viewfinder, an SLR-sized image sensor, and a wide aperture prime lens. This version offers a few welcome upgrades, including new optics, a better viewfinder, weather protection, and a tilting LCD. That makes it an overall better camera than the X100F, and one that is certain to compel owners of older models to upgrade. It also makes the X100V a PCMag Editors' Choice.A Familiar Design, Improved The X100 series has evolved from a handling perspective over the years, but its basic look and feel are unchanged. You can get it in your choice of all black or a two-tone black and silver look. The viewfinder sits in the corner, offering your choice of an optical or through-the-lens electronic view, and the lens is a fixed prime with a moderately wide angle of view. The image sensor is as large as you'll find in Fujifilm...- Improved lens

- High price for a fixed lens camera, Fixed focal length lens
Fujifilm FinePix X100V Digital Camera Silver - Brand New review
The biggest complaints we had with the previous X100 series cameras was the lack of a tilting screen, as well as the poor macro performance of the lens. These issues have been completely resolved with the X100V.- Improved lens performance, Excellent image quality, Weather-sealing possible, Tilting 3inch touch-screen, Excellent build quality, High quality optical/electronic viewfinder
- Limited video recording times, Weather-sealing not included as standard, Focus not the fastest

One of our favorite cameras Fujifilm X100V has finally been renewed, and now Fujfilm's small X100 has finally been completed.- Compact and travel-friendly, superb image quality, fast autofocus, 4K video and tiltable touch screen.
- Weather proofing requires extra equipment.
Fujifilm X100V review
The perfect compact camera for the smartphone age, the X100V is a great street photography sidekick that takes the series to new heights. Its tilting screen brings some welcome versatility, while the new sensor, autofocus system and viewfinder make it a fun, engaging travel camera. The fixed focal length won't be for everyone and it's relatively pricey, but the X100V is the best premium compact you can buy.- Useful new tilting touchscreen

- Higher-resolution EVF than before
- Lens produces good sharpness
- Now shoots 4K video
- Needs filter for full weather-sealing
- Pricey for a fixed lens camera
Fujifilm FinePix X100V Digital Camera Silver - Brand New review
With its fifth generation, the Fujifilm X100V finally fulfils the ambition and promise of the original concept. Fujifilm's X100V Is the New Standard for Street Photographers
Improvements to the beloved series make this one of the best street-friendly compact cameras.- New lens has faster autofocus. It's sharper across the frame, even close up. The hybrid viewfinder is best in class, and the articulating screen allows for more shooting angles. Those Fujifilm JPEGs.
- Separate charger no longer included (charges by USB-C). Not weather-resistant out of the box. Touchscreen isn't that useful at this small size.
