Fujifilm Fujinon XF 16-55mm f/2.8 R LM WR review
One of the most popular lenses among DSLR photographers is the 24-70mm f/2.8. It's a lens praised for its versatility due to its fast aperture and useful focal range, and these attributes make it a decent tool for everything from portraits to landscapes.

I read so many reviews, saw some Youtube video's and more that spoke disparaging of this lens. They must have gotten bad copies, because I did initially as well. The 2nd copy was unreal sharp wide open and surgically so stopped down no further than f5.6.

A versatile lens that gives stunning results
This is the first of Fuji's 'red badge' zoom lenses I've tried and it's already proved itself a cut above the (very good) standard XF lenses in the range. It is heavy and on the large side compared to the slower [smaller aperture] zooms, but the resulting photographs are excellent - pin-sharp and...

Expensive but excellent performer
This lens seems to be something of a 'marmite' lens amongst the Fuji community online, with detractors mocking it as too big and heavy (hence why some on DPReview call it 'the brick'), and fans calling it 'a bag of primes'.

Great All Around
A great one lens solution. I use this for most situations, and if I need anything more I switch to a 12mm or 14mm prime, or the 40-150mm f2.8 zoom.
Pros:
- Easily Interchangeable
- Quick Focus
- Rugged
- Sharp Focus
- Strong Construction

Handles adventure better than I do
The only thing I wish this lens had is OIS. That being said, it's already pretty heavy if you're using the x-t2 like I am, so it really doesn't need extra weight. I can't wait to get an x-h1, because as Tony Northrup suggests, and I agree, this lens is the perfect mate for the x-h1 because of the...

Fuji quality shines through
I purchased the X-T2 and several prime lenses that have been awesome. I decided that there are times when a telephoto is very convenient. The 16-55 mm fits that need. It is sharp, focuses fast, and has the great build quality that is done in true Fuji style.

Fujifilm XF 16-55mm f/2.8 R LM WR
The Fujifilm XF 16-55mm f/2.8 R LM WR is a fast, professional-level standard zoom lens that delivers stellar results throughout the zoom range. It may be bigger, heavier and cost almost twice as much as the well-regarded Fujifilm XF 18-55mm f/2.8-4 R LM OIS kit lens, and also lack the optical image...

Fujifilm Fujinon XF 16-55mm f/2.8 R LM WR Review
This 3.4x standard zoom lens for Fujifilm X-series interchangeable lens cameras provides a field of view equivalent to a 24-84mm lens on a 35mm camera, and sports a fast constant f/2.8 maximum aperture, weather sealed construction and costs around £880.
Pros:
- Excellent sharpness
- Relatively lightweight
- Robust build quality
- Retro design with manual aperture ring
- Low CA
- Low distortion
- Weather resistant
- Fast focusing
Cons:
- Supplied hood is easy to knock off line when removing the lens from a bag/case

With pretty much every mirrorless camera maker now offering at least one high-end camera body, the rush is on to produce high-end lenses to match. While some systems already have a bevy of exceptional prime lenses at their disposal, fast zooms have been a little harder to come by.
