HTC Desire C Review

The Desire C is HTC's latest budget Android smartphone, and is a handset aimed at smartphone newbies and those on a budget. The pint-sized handset sure does look good, but can it carry on the repuation left by the original HTC Desire?
Pros:
  • Nice design
  • runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich
  • good battery life
Cons:
  • 600MHz processor can be painfully slow
  • poor camera

HTC Desire C Android phone

The HTC Desire C is a competitively priced pre-paid smartphone that offers a few features we aren't used to seeing on low-end Android devices. We like its design, build quality and the decent battery life it offers, but the sluggish user experience will frustrate most buyers. Once upon a time, the Desire was the king of HTC's smartphones. The One series has taken that mantle in 2012, so the Desire is now reduced to propping up the bottom of HTC's smartphone lineup. The HTC Desire C retails for $229 but features the Beats Audio sound profile, comes with integrated 25GB Dropbox storage and has a 5-megapixel camera. It's a great looking device but an ultimately frustrating phone to use due to a sluggish user experience.
Pros:
  • Good design and build
  • Relatively low price
  • Decent battery life
Cons:
  • Can be sluggish at times
  • Abysmal camera
  • Limited internal memory

1. Camera are poor and terrible, these 5mpx are maybe for kids. Even my old Nokia with 2mpx was better... Doesnt exist autofocus as well, so cannot use for QR code reading. 2. CPU are slow. Using a 60/70% for just a standby mode... 3.

Great for a starter smartphone

I used to own a Blackberry Bold 9700, and for 2 years, that phone never left my side. I thought it was amazing, and that no phone could beat my Blackberry. Then my husband got a simple HTC wildfire, and within a few days I was totally jealous, mainly of his amazing app store, which left Blackberry...

HTC Desire C Review: In Depth

All in all the HTC Desire C is very close to being a recommended handset, but falls short thanks to the humble 600MHz processor, mediocre camera and HVGA screen. It does get a lot right, we love the design with its red accents and think HTC did a great job getting Android 4.0 and Sense 4.0 on their...
Pros:
  • Great design
  • Ice Cream Sandwich
  • Sense 4.0
Cons:
  • HVGA screen
  • Poor camera
  • Slow processor

Slow Processor…

This phone runs on a 600 Mhz processor which is a bit outdated. However, it features android 4.1 ice cream sandwhich which seems to balance the negativity of a slow processor. The camera quality is brilliant and clear. Even video recording offers a fast fps to improve video quality.
