HTC Desire C review: HTC Desire C

The HTC Desire C delivers Android Ice Cream Sandwich to the budget end of the smart phone spectrum, but this sugary goodness can't compensate for under-powered hardware. Even at this affordable price, there are more powerful and capable budget blowers up for grabs. Not everyone can afford a super-powered smart phone with multiple cores and a screen big enough to double as a tea tray.
Pros:
  • Ice Cream Sandwich
  • HTC Sense 4.0
  • microSD card slot.
Cons:
  • Weak processor
  • Small low-res screen
  • Call volume is quite quiet.

HTC Desire C review Review

The Desire C can be pocketed pretty cheaply, but even at this price there are more powerful alternatives vying for your cash. Just getting Ice Cream Sandwich -- or HTC throwing in stuff like NFC -- is not enough to compensate for the phone's many shortcomings, at least in my view.
Pros:
  • Ice Cream Sandwich
  • HTC Sense 4.0
  • MicroSD card slot
Cons:
  • Weak processor
  • Small low-res screen
  • Call volume is quite quiet

HTC Desire C

This does what its supposed to do as a basic entry level smartphone. However, with only a 600MHz processor the lag makes several tasks very frustrating. If you take photos, be prepared for poor photos that utilizes multiple light sources such as those photos occurring within a concert.
Pros:
  • O/S and Price
Cons:
  • Underpowered - Poor performance
  • No flash for camera
  • No front facing camera for Skype

Great for a casual user. Too slow if you live your life by it. Mine has a problem of frequently crashing for no apparent reason. Supplier couldn't fix it, so cannot recommend this phone.
Pros:
  • Does what I want when it's working
Cons:
  • Crashes/reboots several times a day

Ice scrapper

Like Most people, I use the camera to capture pictures of price tags in store to comparison shop, can't do that with this phone! Quality of camera very bad! Since I've had the phone, it would randomly reboot (maybe once a week). It then started rebooting several times a day.

HTC Desire C – entry-level but with the sweet Ice Cream Sandwich and Beats Audio

There's a lot to be desired about HTC Desire C but its low price point would have to be its most attractive spec. It may be an entry-level phone but it runs Ice Cream Sandwich and features Beats Audio technology. For a cheap phone, its specs are quite decent.

HTC Desire C

Nokia Lumia 610 – Coming in at a similar price point to the HTC Desire C, the Nokia Lumia 610 is Windows Phone's entry to the budget market. Featuring a 3.7-inch display and a 5MP camera, the Lumia sports good hardware and an excellent operating system, though it does suffer from a lack of third...

HTC Desire C Review

With Nokia switching most of their efforts to Windows Phone there's very few "featurephones" coming onto the market. It's left the door open for cheaper Android smartphones which, despite dropping a few specs here and there, still give owners access into the large range of apps and games within...
