Editor's Review of the One V
The One V brings back HTC's iconic chin design, and despite its budget price, features a 3.7-inch screen, Android 4.0 and a 5MP HD camera

The HTC One V is the baby of the new HTC One range, but a budget phone it isn't. With a handsome spec-sheet, the One V also offers a metal chassis, 1GHz of processing power and most impressively, a 5-megapixel camera with an f/2.2, 28mm wide-angle lens and HTC's stonking camera UI.
Pros:
- Great screen
- Solid design
- Great camera

HTC One V
TAIWANESE PHONE MAKER HTC's One V smartphone is the most affordable member of the HTC One club, although it's arguably the most charming too. Its chin gives a nod to the popular HTC Legend of 2008 fame, and it arrives stuffed full of high-end features despite its budget £200 price tag.
Pros:
- Quirky design
- Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS)
- decent battery
Cons:
- You don't get the full version of HTC Sense 4.0
- Beats Audio caters to only bass-heavy music

HTC One V review
The performance per pound level of the HTC One V can't be faulted. As a mid-range smartphone, it's best in class, just beating the Nokia Lumia 710 as an all-rounder and offers build and style that the Samsung Galaxy Ace Plus just can't manage.
Pros:
- Sleek unibody design
- Fun camera control functions
- Free 25GB Dropbox storage
Cons:
- 4GB storage
- No physical control for camera
- Could be more responsive

Pros:
- Hardware / design / finishing
- Good screen
- Battery life
- Good photo quality for the price range
- Video player
Cons:
- Storage space
- Video rendering

The phone's 3.7" screen has pixel dimensions of 480x800, with pixel density being 252 ppi. The screen is bright and offers wide viewing angles. Display sharpness and color reproduction is also reasonably good. However, the panel's sunlight legibility and contrast ratio could have been better.
Pros:
- Pleasant ICS experience
- Feature packed camera
- Impressive design
- Bright display
Cons:
- No front-facing camera
