Since the One V is on the ‘lower' end of HTC's lineup, the specifications are not too impressive but at the same time will provide a decent level of performance.

Excellent value

I had the LG Optimus Elite before switching to the HTC One... the difference is like night and day. It's hard to believe Virgin only spaces them $50 apart. The LG is an embarrasingly bad phone, while this one is the first prepaid phone I've had that I felt like I didn't have to make excuses for -...
Pros:
  • Great screen
  • fast processor
  • lots of onboard memory
Cons:
  • Gets a little warm

HTC One V review

We've reviewed a handful of Android 4 Ice Cream Sandwich smartphones over the last few months, but they've all been on the pricey side. The HTC One V, on the other hand, is a rather more affordable option at just over £200 without a contract – this is even less than Samsung's own moderately priced...

HTC One V Price is India is 19,999 INR, making it one of the most affordable options, offering quite an exciting range of features in return such as BSI sensor and ICS. However, in the competitive world of today, we may soon have others with a slimmer body, better features and a better price to...
Pros:
  • Android OS
  • v4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich
  • TFT Capacitive 480 x 800 pixels touch screen
  • 3.7-inch display
  • 1GHz single-core processor
  • 5-megapixel camera
  • 2592 x 1944 pixels
  • autofocus
  • LED flash
  • Beats Audio enhancements
  • Standard battery
  • Li-Ion 1,500mAh battery
  • 4 GB storage
  • 512 MB RAM
  • MicroSD,...
Cons:
  • For gaming fans, HTC One V's single core processor could pose as a down side
  • They may want to consider dual core processor phones instead, HTC has to work on its phones' battery life, To keep the cost down, HTC probably had to work on the screen size which is small as compared to the other smart...

  • Aluminum unibody is rare in this price category
  • Built well
  • Surprisingly crisp display
  • Decent performance
  • Android ICS out of the box
Cons:
  • Disappointing camera
  • Slight niggles with glass around earpiece

Review: HTC One V

The phone's 3.7" screen has pixel dimensions of 480x800, with pixel density being 252 ppi. The screen is bright and offers wide viewing angles. Display sharpness and color reproduction is also reasonably good. However, the panel's sunlight legibility and contrast ratio could have been better.
Pros:
  • Pleasant ICS experience
  • Feature packed camera
  • Impressive design
  • Bright display
Cons:
  • No front-facing camera

I like it but what really put me off is the annoying static noises when any sound is played through the headphones on this phone. it diminishes audio quality when you use noise-cancellation headphones on a low-volume setting. I wonder if others faced this problem or is mine a faulty product.
Pros:
  • Decent Camera
  • htc sense
  • ICS
  • great build quality
Cons:
  • Sluggish on 3d graphics
  • laggy browser
  • static noises while listening to audio through earphones

Love the phone - but its no good when it bricks itself in your pocket. You can't remove the battery. Had a replacement which has done the same in less than a week.

HTC One V Android smartphone

, and now the Legend has sired the One V. Yes, the V is the runt of the One litter but its forebears had a solid following and, as a one-time Hero owner, I'm hoping the bloodline is in good health.

HTC One V

Designed as a less powerful platform than the One X and One S, the One V is the budget model in HTC's recent One series. And in this range, cheaper means smaller.

  • Battery life
  • Good photo quality for the price range
  • Video player
