HTC One V Review

With all that hype for quad-core smartphones with massive displays, I sometimes wonder if the need for feature-packed smartphones with lesser processing power and smaller displays are slowly diminishing. With my experience with the One V, I can say that there's still hope.

HTC One V review

The performance per pound level of the HTC One V can't be faulted. As a mid-range smartphone, it's best in class, just beating the Nokia Lumia 710 as an all-rounder and offers build and style that the Samsung Galaxy Ace Plus just can't manage.
Pros:
  • Sleek unibody design
  • Fun camera control functions
  • Free 25GB Dropbox storage
Cons:
  • 4GB storage
  • No physical control for camera
  • Could be more responsive

No it is not fair to call HTC One V, a sibling of HTC One X. Look wise they are very different. One look at the picture of the phone (see pics) and you'll agree – HTC One V belongs more to the HTC Hero clan. It is far- far away from the beauty of One X.
Pros:
  • Design
  • Runs on latest version of Android – Ice Cream Sandwich out of the box
  • Reasonably priced
  • Expandable Memory
Cons:
  • No front facing camera
  • Only 4GB internal memory
  • No dedicated Camera key
  • In-built battery

HTC One V

TAIWANESE PHONE MAKER HTC's One V smartphone is the most affordable member of the HTC One club, although it's arguably the most charming too. Its chin gives a nod to the popular HTC Legend of 2008 fame, and it arrives stuffed full of high-end features despite its budget £200 price tag.
Pros:
  • Quirky design
  • Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS)
  • decent battery
Cons:
  • You don't get the full version of HTC Sense 4.0
  • Beats Audio caters to only bass-heavy music

HTC One V

Nokia Lumia 610 – The Nokia Lumia 610 is the most affordable smartphone you'll find running the Windows Phone 7.5 OS . It also includes a 5MP with HD video recording, similar to the HTC One V, and is powered by a single-core 800 MHz processor.
Pros:
  • Striking design
  • Vivid display
  • Android 4.0
Cons:
  • Single-core processor
  • Non-removable battery

HTC One V Review

The HTC One V isn't the lowest cost budget Android phone you can get your hands on, in fact, it is at the upper end of the budget side of things. If you can squeeze your limited finances and find the cash, it is probably the best of the budget bunch, offering the latest Android version, with a good...

HTC One V review

The HTC One V is the third of the HTC One series.  You could call it the budget HTC Phone with expensive features; it has some resemblance to the HTC One S and HTC One X  when you switch it on.
Pros:
  • Premium design Android ICS out of the box Great build quality Battery life
Cons:
  • Low-end specs Camera and Specs could be slightly improved to compete with future leases if users will take it out on a 24 Months agreement

Bell HTC One V Review (Video)

The One V is neither the best phone on the market, nor the best One Series device. But it isn't trying to be: the device fits into a very important niche within the low-cost smartphone category, and at the moment there isn't a better proposition.

HTC One V Review

The bottom of the range is never a good place to be. Not if we're honest. If your budget will "only go" as far as the One V then you might think that you're losing out. Sure, when it comes to specs this isn't as F1-fast as the One S or the One X, but is it a substitute for the phone you really want?
