There's no getting away from the fact that, right now, Huawei's AppGallery ecosystem isn't where it needs to be, and that will lead to anything but a seamless transfer for phone users from their past device.- Superb 90Hz OLED quad-curve display
- Powerful internal hardware
- God-tier camera system
- Professional
- mature design
- Next-gen 5G connectivity
- Slick and fast EMUI 10.1 OS
- Battery that runs and runs
- No access to Google Play Store
- apps or services
- Huawei AppGallery still in infancy
- Getting common apps on the phone requires tinkering

A star on the wrong walk of fame- Superb cameras
- Great design
- Spectacular battery
- App Gallery lacks many apps that you're used to
- Apps that you could download may still not work
- Canadian pricing is unknown
Huawei P40 Pro Silver Frost 1102700047 review
There’s just one real flaw to this package, but unfortunately it’s a potentially significant one. Without support for Google’s formidable ecosystem of apps and web tools, many users will find themselves cut adrift from their favourite services.- Gorgeous
- refined design
- Superb
- flexible camera
- Excellent battery life
- No Google Play Services
- 50x zoom shots are barely usable
- EMUI isn't the best
Huawei P40 Pro Silver Frost 1102700047 review
Fantastic hardware meets challenged software; the P40 Pro is the best camera phone you can get for £899, and the phone’s design is beautiful. Despite some elegant software highlights too, however, the limitations when it comes to Google will likely turn many off.- Class-leading camera
- Good battery life
- Elegant design
- Great if you don't want Google
- No Google Services mean
- for the price
- you'll probably want to look elsewhere (which is a shame)
- Massive hole punch
- App Gallery needs serious improvements quickly

Despite some elegant software highlights too, however, the limitations when it comes to Google will likely turn many off. If Huawei can improve this in the phone’s lifetime, then the P40 Pro will be a winner.- Class-leading camera

- Sublime OLED screen with 90Hz refresh rate
- Brilliant
- versatile camera

- Audio isn't great
Huawei P40 Pro Silver Frost 1102700047 review
When it came to hardware, Huawei was not stingy and has put everything that the company had on its shelves or could develop from scratch into this device. Also in terms of the operating system, EMUI 10.1, you get a package that has already been evaluated a million times.- Beautiful design
- Great 90 Hz display
- Current Android
- Very good camera
- Long battery life
- Huawei Mobile Services is not yet a full replacement for Google Mobile Services
- App library still limited and confusing
Huawei P40 Pro Silver Frost 1102700047 review
Is Google Play Store still essential on an Android phone?- Spectacular good looks
- Outstanding cameras
- Great battery life
- A fast performer
Huawei P40 Pro Silver Frost 1102700047 review
The Huawei P40 Pro demonstrates that life after Google is possible but not ideal. Despite its abilities, it's hard to recommend to anyone outside of die-hard Huawei fans and tech-savvy users comfortable with compromises
Huawei P40 Pro review
A superb follow-up to one of 2019's best smartphones. The Huawei P40 Pro improves in every area, offering top-tier performance and networking, superb battery life and fast charging, a stupendous camera setup on both the front and back, plus that eye-catching 90Hz 'Overflow' display. Despite how capable this phone is, however, the absence of Google Mobile Services makes this a poor recommendation for anyone other than die-hard Huawei fans and the tech-savvy. Those just looking for a great flagship phone, will probably prefer the ease of hopping onto one of the new Galaxy S20 series or Oppo's Find X2 Pro.
