Jabra Elite 65t review: the best AirPods alternative
The new $170 Jabra Elite 65t earbuds are my go-to recommendation for anyone who wants truly wireless earbuds that aren't Apple's AirPods. As good as the AirPods are , there are several things that might rule them out for some people.- Incredibly stable connection
- Pleasant sound with good bass
- Customizable fit
- Two-year warranty against sweat / dust
- Sometimes get uncomfortable during extended listening
- No foam tips included
- You'll need a recent phone for best performance
- Possible QA issues with some units
Jabra Elite 65t Review
Step aside, AirPods! Jabra's Elite 65t are the fully wireless headphones to beat.- Reliable connection
- Great passive noise isolation
- Punchy bass
- bright highs
- Advanced features
- good battery life
- Somewhat tight fit
- Slight connection noise
Jabra Elite 65t review: Third time's the charm
Though a few caveats apply, this is almost everything we wanted out of the second-gen Elite Sport earbuds and a solid product that cements Jabra’s reputation on the frontlines of the true wireless arms race. After the largely-iterative update delivered by their second-gen Elite Sport earbuds, Jabra have now expanded their true wireless portfolio again with the Elite 65t earbuds.- Great sound
- Great microphone
- Poor isolation
- Weak software
Jabra Elite 65t review: Perfect fit with a good audio range

Jabra Elite Active 65t
You have to hand it to Jabra-the company has invested in an app that works with multiple models of its headphones, and it's the rare case in which the app actually improves the user experience to a notable degree.- Powerful bass and sculpted highs
- Customizable EQ
- Dust- and moisture-resistant design
- Secure in-ear fit
- Counts steps
- Auto-pair process can be cumbersome, with only one earpiece pairing at times
- Not for purists seeking accurate audio
Jabra Elite 65t
Compared to what else is out there, it's not bad for a true wireless sport IEM at $170. As of this writing, I'm unaware of anything cheaper with the same features and performance. It's a better deal, of course, if your timing is good and you catch it when it's $130.- A solid earbud
- Customer Service is an epic FAIL
Jabra Elite Active 65t True Wireless In Ear Sport Headphones - Copper Blue 100-99010000-40 review
Great-sounding wireless buds, for in and out of the gym, but a few usability niggles keep them from being perfect- Outstanding connection
- Impressively detailed audio
- Snug fit
- Completely sweat-proof
- Accelerometers can play up
- Alexa integration could be better
- Quite large
- Can become uncomfortable after extended use
Jabra Elite Active 65t review
If you’re the sort of devoted fitness buff that would give The Rock a run for his mountainous piles of money, you’re perhaps better off opting for the more tech-heavy Elite Sport. For everyone else, though, I’d fully recommend the Elite Active 65t. They're the best running earbuds I’ve come across, both in terms of build and sound quality. And the latter has me really deliberating over whether these buds could replace my beloved AirPods on the daily commute. If it wasn’t for the fact that they do dig in a bit after a while, it wouldn’t be up for debate. Bells and whistles like Alexa compatibility are great, even if they are a bit half-baked, and I like that the app lets me quickly jump between different audio modes and settings. They’re not flawless, but if you’re in the market for some truly wireless in-ear headphones that tick nearly all of the boxes, you'll be hard pushed to find better for the price.- Outstanding connection
