Microsoft Surface Pro 7 Intel i5 256GB SSD Convertible Tablet - Black PUV-00021 review
You can’t go wrong with the new Surface Pro 7 if you are in the market for a 2-in-1 Windows tablet. It’s a bit expensive and you have to pay extra for the accessories but it is a premium and powerful product. It has a nice form factor, vibrant display and delivers competent performance.
Microsoft Surface Pro 7 Intel i5 256GB SSD Convertible Tablet - Black PUV-00021 review
The Microsoft Surface Pro 7 improves on its predecessor with stronger performance and better ports, but its battery life is disappointing. The Microsoft Surface Pro 7 delivers big on performance and display quality, complete with a responsive screen for note-taking and drawing and a convertible...- Solid performance, Bright and colorful display, Excellent optional keyboard, USB-C port (finally)
- Underwhelming battery life, Soft speakers
Microsoft Surface Pro 7 review
We expected a bit more in advancements from the seventh Surface Pro tablet. USB-C is nice, but for a device at this price, its should be Thunderbolt 3. Plus, the display bezels are awfully thick for a tablet in 2019.- Vastly improved performance
- USB-C finally
- Now with Wi-Fi 6
- Overall loss in battery life
- USB-C isn't Thunderbolt 3
- Few
- if any
- other design changes
- Screen bezels are thick for 2019
Microsoft Surface Pro 7 Core i5 Review: More Like a Surface Pro 6.5
If you're a content owner of a Surface Pro 5 or Surface Pro 6, then there is little reason to upgrad... Iterative. The Surface Pro 7 doesn't bring enough to the table to warrant a whole digit upgrade over the Surface Pro 6. Unless if you really value the integrated USB Type-C port or Iris Plus graphics update, last year's model will suffice.- higher temporary Turbo Boost performance over last year's model
- Core i5 CPU performance on par with last year's Core i7
- finally a USB Type-C port with Power Delivery
- updated and faster Toshiba NVMe SSD
- slightly longer battery life
- Wi-Fi 6 comes standard
- silent
- passively cooled
- exact same LG Philips IPS display as on the 2017 Surface Pro 5
- display could be better calibrated out of the box
- high Turbo Boost performance is short-lived
- coil whine
- electronic noise on our unit
- still no Thunderbolt 3 support
- slow graphics driver updates
- no WAN or GPS
Microsoft Surface Pro 7 Intel i5 256GB SSD Convertible Tablet - Black PUV-00021 review
Surface Pro X Performance Summary: Microsoft's Surface Pro X performance can be summed up best as uneven . Even with native Arm applications, the Surface Pro X couldn't keep up with any of our 64-bit x86 test machines nor a 3rd gen iPad Air.- Full Windows 10 experience on Arm
- Good compatibility with x86 32-bit apps
- Bright
- sharp PixelSense display
- Amazing battery life
- Totally fanless
- Premium materials and build quality
- Integrated always-connected 4G
- 4-core 10th Gen Intel CPU impresses

Microsoft Surface Pro 7 review
If you’re going to get the use out of the portability and flexible nature of the 2-in-1, the Surface Pro 7 is well worth considering, especially with the upgrades on offer compared to the Pro 6, but there are more powerful laptops at a similar price if processing power is key.
