By far my most used lens. If I had a complaint it would be that it spoils me to want my other lenses to perform as well which can get expensive. The price is oh so right for a lens of this caliber. It's so easily portable.

The 35mm format provides natural "human eye" perspective for Nikon DX cameras. This could be the only lens you need for most photo situations.
Good value Fast auto focus Manual focus ring always active
Sharp DOF focus transitions in close-ups
i decided to get this 35mm instead of the new 40mm macro, and/or the 50mm. i have a d200 and the crop factor with this lens gives me the perfect coverage i was looking for. it's now become my "normal" lens.
Fast / accurate auto-focus; Lightweight; Nice Bokeh
NONE
I use this lens mostly for portrait, modeling, wedding and live performances in low lit places. For the price it's an incrediable lens. My sister is into photography and she's dying to get one her self. It has definately uped my game and made me realise just what a difference a fast lens can make.
Prime 35mm lens that I was happy to purchase for the low light capabilities and sharpness of my photos. Took awhile to find one that was not on back order or other delay and glad I found that Dell had some.
Gary Wolstenholme reviews the new version of Nikon's 35mm prime lens, the Nikon AF-S DX Nikkor 35mm f/1.8G Lens.
Excellent optical quality; Good build quality; Light weight; Keenly priced; No distance markings for manual focusing

Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Consistent Output; Durable; Easily Interchangeable; Fast / accurate auto-focus; Lightweight; Rugged; Strong Construction
Slow Focus
[...] So this is my first lens that I bought besides the 18-55mm kit lens that came with my Nikon D3100. After many good reviews and recommendations I decided to purchase this lens. I was a little hesistant because my kit lens has the 35mm range also.
Fast / accurate auto-focus; Lightweight; Nice Bokeh; Razor Sharp focus; Rugged; Strong Construction
Pricey but worth it
As I indicated at the beginning of this review, I am probably a little biased in favor of prime lenses when it comes to photography. Until someone discovers a way to make an affordable zoom lens with a maximum aperture of f/1.4 there will always be a place for prime lenses.
