Nikon Z50 Mirrorless Camera with 16-50mm Lens VOK050XA review
The Z50 is a capable and comfortable camera to use, for a wide range of photography. The autofocus system is a little more awkward than it needs to be, but generally it's a hugely competitive camera. If the lenses you want to use exist, it should be on your list of cameras to consider.- Travel and everyday photography.
- Landscapes and high resolution imagery
- Team sports.

Nikon Z50 Mirrorless Camera with 16-50mm Lens VOK050XA review
The new Nikon Z50 mirrorless camera is the smallest interchangeable-lens DX-format camera Nikon offers, and as you can probably tell, I liked it a lot. It’s small and rugged with surprisingly high build quality for the price, and its thin, sleek design is very attractive.
Nikon Z50 Mirrorless Camera with 16-50mm Lens VOK050XA review
Available at a great price and with lots to like - including build quality, handling, a very usable screen and viewfinder - the Z50 might be the new kid on the APS-C mirrorless block, but it’s easily one of the best out there.- Great handling
- Attractively priced
- Excellent image quality
- Tilting screen mechanism no good for tripod mounting
- Only a single UHS-I card slot
- No joystick for selecting AF points
Nikon Z50 Mirrorless Camera with 16-50mm Lens VOK050XA review
The Z50 is one of the best APS-C cameras out there offering a multitude of the pro-level features introduced on the Z6 and 7, at a fraction of the price.- Excellent handling
- Good dynamic range
- Decent value
- Not particularly high resolution
Nikon Z50 Mirrorless Camera with 16-50mm Lens VOK050XA review
Nikon shows why not everyone needs a professional camera with the successful Nikon Z50.- Very good picture and video quality (4K), complete ergonomics, compact and light, fast autofocus and good shooting pace.
- Lacks image stabilizer, imprecise tracking focus, multiple touch focus, moderate brightness on the kit zoom.
Nikon Z50 Mirrorless Camera with 16-50mm Lens VOK050XA review
The Nikon Z 50 is a great little mirrorless camera that offers more features than its entry-level designation implies.- Great image quality, Solid build, Excellent feature set, Slow-motion 4K video
- Flip-down LCD blocks tripod mount, No in-body image stabilization, Modest battery life, Limited lens options
Nikon Z50 Mirrorless Camera with 16-50mm Lens VOK050XA review

Nikon Z50 Mirrorless Camera with 16-50mm Lens VOK050XA review
The Z50 is Nikon’s latest effort at winning over users in the mirrorless camera market, after the now-defunct N1 and the groundbreaking Z6 and Z7 from last year.Nikon Z50 Kit (16-50) - Brand New review
In as many ways as we can quantify, the Nikon Z50 is an incredible camera. Its drawbacks lie in the areas that are more difficult to measure, such as the overall value when considering the whole system investment, including available native lenses.- Incredible Photo & Video Image Quality, Impressive Durability, Familiar & Intuitive Ergonomics, Compact & Lightweight
- Autofocus is better than Nikon DX DSLRs, but behind some competing mirrorless options, Battery life & in-camera charging leaves something to be desired, Native DX Z-mount lens selection is limited
