Nokia Lumia 800 review: New beginnings
It will take crowds erupting in delight to silence the ring of the "burning platform" speech in the Nokia Lumia 800's ears. The speaker being Nokia CEO Stephen Elop and the burning platform Symbian. As Nokia are starting over, the Lumia 800 would do well not to look back.

- 3.7" 16M-color AMOLED capacitive touchscreen of 480 x 800 pixel resolution

- 720p@27fps
Cons:
- Display is much dimmer than the N9's display
- No Flash or Silverlight support in browser
- No USB mass storage (file management and sync pass only through Zune
- No video calls and no front-facing camera either
- Non-user-replaceable battery
- No memory card slot (and no 64GB version like the N9,

Nokia Lumia 800
Aesthetics aside, the speed and ease of use of the Lumia 800 – and the remarkable People application – make this a very attractive alternative to the iPhone. Even if you don't do much social networking, it's nice to have communications and events aggregated under by contact or group.

Pros:
- Unique yet brilliant design
- Classy yet solid build quality
- Excellent UI on WP 7.5 - Live Tiles particularly
- Very good display - particularly for multimedia consumption
- Contact handling much improved with Mango update
- Battery life doesn't disappoint
Cons:
- Call clarity isn't as good as we had hoped for
- Accessing the micro SIM slot is an unnecessarily long process

Nokia Lumia 800 Review
I was very exciting to get hands-on with Nokia's Lumia 800 when it came out, and I'm glad to say that it didn't disappoint. The hardware makes the phone nicer to use than many other devices I've come across in the past few months, and for me it's more comfortable to hold than an iPhone.

There's no doubt about it, the Lumia 800 is a gorgeous phone. The simplicity, elegance and fully-stocked feature set of Windows Phone 7.5 paired with the stunning hardware design of the Lumia 800 amounts to a lethal combination that will change the game for both Nokia and Microsoft.

Review: Nokia Lumia 800
The mobile version of IE9 is capable of blazing-fast page rendering, thanks to the hardware acceleration. The browser is stable and offers extremely smooth scrolling. However, it lacks Flash support, and has a weird limit of six tabs.
