OPPO A5 2020 Unboxing and Review: The Better Choice
An affordable A9 2020 The A9 2020 redefined the way OPPO wants to market the A-series-as a mid-range phone, not a budget offering. But its higher price tag relative to its specs and the competition make it a tough sell for budget-strapped shoppers.
OPPO A5 2020 (3GB + 64GB) Mirror Black A5 2020 BLK 3+64 review
The Oppo A5 2020 when judged against its price comes out very well indeed: for not much money at all, you get a device that is competent in most areas and really good in a couple.- Solid design
- Superb battery life
- Spacious screen
- So-so performance
- Unimpressive camera
- Slow charging
OPPO A5 2020 (3GB + 64GB) Mirror Black A5 2020 BLK 3+64 review
Oppo A5 2020 is a great phone if you’re feeling at all apprehensive about sporting a device that uses cheaper materials – none of your mates will clock this is a sub-£200 device. A big battery and display make for strong experience, even if a low resolution is a bit of a letdown.

A few tech shortcomings don’t stop this ultra-long-lasting phone becoming a budget favourite- Excellent battery life
- Big screen
- Good stereo speakers
- Slow charging
- Quad camera array is only 50% useful
- Bog-standard low light images
Oppo A5 (2020) review
The Oppo A5 2020 is great for the hardcore phone user who isn’t a hardcore tech snob. A big screen and battery let you stream a lot of music and video, and play games without having to worry about running out of charge. It can’t play every single game with maxed-out graphics. And even if it could, the 720p screen is not necessarily the best way to experience them. The quad camera isn’t as advanced as it sounds either. However, we’ve found living with the Oppo A5 2020 to be blissed-out. It has a good-enough screen, strong speakers, feels fast and can even take good photos while the sun is up.- Excellent battery life

Oppo A5 2020 review
The Oppo A5 2020 is bread-and-butter proof that you don’t need to spend a fortune for some impressive bits of kit on a smartphone. With a 5000mAh battery, a large display and an aesthetically-pleasing design to boot. The camera isn’t as strong as what we’ve seen on other budget phones, but this is still a great buy.
OPPO A5 2020 (3GB + 64GB) Mirror Black A5 2020 BLK 3+64 review
The budget end of the handset market is a tough place, where compromises must be made to create a serviceable phone. In this case, the RAM, camera setup, screen and internal storage are all trimmed back.- Large minimal-bezel screen
- Excellent battery life
- Some nice 'digital wellbeing' features
- Dual SIM and MicroSD slots
- Disappointing cameras
- Low-resolution IPS screen
- Just 3GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage
- No fast charging
