The Samsung DV300F is the first DualView camera from Samsung to feature built-in WiFi functionality. As a result, Samsung has packed it full of innovative ways to share content online that don't involve a computer.

Samsung DV300F
The Samsung DV300F is shorter than the height of a business card, with official 95.2 x 56.5 x 18.3 proportions and a mere 120g weight. Sitting well in the palm, this is a compact that truly is compact.

Samsung DV300F
At first look, the Samsung DV300F's front LCD makes it stand out from the crowd, but the camera's most impressive feature is its Wi-Fi sharing capability. It allows you to transfer photos to your smartphone, post directly to social sharing sites, or transfer them to a PC-all without wires.

Samsung DV300F
Earlier this year, Samsung announced their latest incarnation in their DualView camera series, the sleekly designed DV300F. It features a 16.0-Megapixel, 1/2.3" CCD, a 5x optical zoom lens (a 35mm equivalent of 25-125mm), a 3.0" rear facing LCD viewing screen, a 1.5" front facing LCD screen, and

Samsung DV300F
It lets you "turn an ordinary photograph into something special or funny for your Facebook page" -- and then upload it instantly via Wi-Fi. Two things are missing, though. There's no one-touch video record button and no HDMI jack, although you can hook your HDTV up to Wi-Fi to watch videos that way.
Pros:
- Dual front and back LCD screens
- Built-in Wi-Fi
- Fun effects to add to your photos
- Very slim and tiny
Cons:
- Mediocre photos and videos
- Only 5x zoom
- Slow

light and decent quality, but tricky to use
This camera is an attractive little piece of equipment. I have always been a fan of Samsung's aesthetics and they didn't disappoint here. The DV300F is matt and gloss finish, is lightweight and fits easily in to the pocket. It has a generously sized LCD screen, making for easily taken pictures.

Samsung DV300F review
Compact fully automatic cameras with 5x zooms are commonplace and, some would argue, are in the greatest danger of being made obsolete by the smartphone. Luckily then compact and slender Samsung DV300F pocket camera offers a bit more than most comparable sub-£200 snapshots, like some of those found...
Pros:
- Slim profile
- Wi-Fi connectivity
- High-res 3-inch backscreen
Cons:
- Softer images on high ISOs
- Mic picks up operational noise
- Not Full HD video

Samsung DV300F
Pleasant aesthetics, a low price and the front-mounted LCD screen are the main drawcards for the Samsung DV300F. We'd recommend spending a tad extra to get a whole lot more elsewhere, and relying on your smartphone for self-portraits.
Pros:
- Self-portrait screen is handy if you're into that sort of thing
Cons:
- Smartphones are great for self-portraits
- Image quality could be better
