- Integrated stylus delivers key point of difference
- Great handwriting and notes input
- Powerful and fluid operation
- Neater design than Ultra version
- Versatile and capable camera system
Cons:
- Lacks a higher refresh-rate screen (it's 60Hz here)
- 'Glasstic' rear - surely this could be glass on such a flagship?
- Air Gestures still a gimmick
- Should really be a bigger battery in a phone this size

Samsung Galaxy Note 20 review: Is the smaller Note the bigger winner?
If you're looking for a phone with an integrated stylus then there's little better than the note-taking potential of this phone. Sure, its 'glasstic' rear and lack of higher refrsh-rate screen are little red marks against its specification, but you can buy the step-up Ultra model if you see that as a problem - although we prefer the smaller price and smaller camera lump of this 'entry' Note model.
Pros:

When looking at the specs sheets and comparing the Note20 and Note20 Ultra side by side the former seems to require quite a few compromises to be made. For example, 5G is not available in the lower-end model and the 60 Hz display is not befitting its class.
Pros:
- color-accurate display
- powerful S-pen
- spacious and fast USF 3.1 storage
- good cameras
- decent speakers
Cons:
- 5G not standard but optional
- no microSD support
- darker display than its predecessor
- only 60 Hz panel
- no aptX HD or Adaptive aptX

The Samsung Galaxy Note 20 is a good phone, but don’t buy it at its advertised retail price of $999.99. It’s a fine phone if you can find it for less, and hopefully you can because the only other phone with a stylus that matters is the very expensive Galaxy Note 20 Ultra.
Pros:
- S Pen has come into its own
- Solid performance and battery life
- Reasonable size for more people
Cons:
- Not a good value at the original $1,000 asking price
- No 120Hz refresh rate screen
- Cameras are not inspiring

Pros:
- Software OneUI is pleasant to use now (even if Samsung's stock launcher is still derpy)
- Size and shape Samsung made a flat screen work at this size without being awkward or unwieldy
- Performance This is a very fast phone
- Battery life Ridiculously good.
Cons:
- Screen Low-res for the size and price, just 60Hz
- No expandable storage The baby version loses out on the microSD slot
- S Pen is on the wrong side Unless you're left-handed, it's annoying taking the S Pen out from the left side.

The Galaxy Note 20 will not be remembered as a high point for the Note series. It loses out on too many of the higher-end elements of Galaxy phones without a commensurate drop in cost.
Pros:
- Fun-to-use cameras
- S-Pen is excellent for digital drawing
- Powerful
- even if it's beaten by the competition
Cons:
- Mediocre battery life
- 60Hz phone in a 90/120Hz world
