Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra review
With its middling heat management and battery life, despite everything it does so well, the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra isn’t without its compromises. That would be easier to stomach if it didn’t cost £1,179; but at the same time, there’s still no getting around the fact, this is a beautiful phone and the best pen-packing mobile money can buy.
Pros:
- Bold attractive design
- Great camera system
- S Pen is best-in-class
Cons:
- Mediocre battery life
- Inconsistent heat management
- Palm edge rejection issues

- Bronze colour is really nice, and adds a matte finish, S Pen even more responsive than ever, Really good triple camera

- Battery life, on Exynos version, isn’t good, Screen resolution limits are annoying

The Note 20 Ultra Is the Ultimate Android Phone
This is the ultimate Android phone, but the price is steep.
Pros:
- Fantastic performance. Silky 120-Hz screen. More than a full day of battery life. Great cameras—even the one on the front. Helpful Windows integration. Robust video capabilities. S Pen is handy for select tasks. Comes with all the extras you'd want: wireless charging, MicroSD slot, water resistance.
Cons:
- It's expensive! And huge. The stylus suffers from lackluster palm rejection. No headphone jack. Fingerprint sensor isn't reliable. The $1,000 Galaxy S20 gets you most of the same features.

The Galaxy Note 20 Ultra feels a lot like a phone for the one percent -- and not just because it's expensive. It's because the things the Note 20 Ultra excels at, like note-taking tools and wireless desktop features won't really matter to most people.

- Top-of-the-range performance
- Writing with the S Pen feels more immediate
- Some new S Pen features are thoughtful
Cons:
- It’s expensive even by flagship standards
- “Anywhere Actions” need some fine-tuning

- Cameras are solid but inconsistent

The Galaxy Note20 Ultra is a great device that makes refinements over past Note devices while also bringing smooth performance, fun to use S Pen and a higher price tag.
Pros:
- Great display with a 120Hz refresh rate, Long battery life, Quick performance thanks to 12GB of RAM, S Pen works great, Great camera with Pro Camera and Video Modes, Large storage options plus a microSD card slot, 5G support
Cons:
- The in-display fingerprint sensor doesn’t work all the time, More expensive than previous models, 50x Zoom is better than 100x Space Zoom but still not great

The Galaxy Note 20 Ultra is the new super-premium S Pen-wielding smartphone by Samsung. It’s an extra large phone with a huge camera bump, plus it’s heavier than before and it barely fits in a pocket.
Pros:
- Beautiful styling
- luxurious feel
- Super smooth and snappy performance
- Excellent camera quality for both photos and videos (auto-focus issue is fixed)
- The biggest improvement to the S Pen so far
- Outstanding 6.9” AMOLED screen
- Cool features like Wireless DeX
Cons:
- $1,300 starting price is a bit too much
- Gigantic size might be a turn off for some
- no smaller model available
- Battery life is just okay
- 120Hz takes a toll
- No headphones in the box

Earlier this year, I reviewed the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G , and it had specifications and technology to make it an awesome phone for business. However, the camera had some imperfections, it was a large phone for an S series device, and it was expensive.
Pros:

- Stunning
- large 120Hz adaptive display
- Improved latency in the S Pen with new gestures
- Improved rear cameras with laser focus
- Ultra-Wideband (UWB) support
- Wireless DeX support

- Camera is much improved
- thanks to the new laser autofocus
- 50x Zoom is actually pretty useful
- The ultimate Xbox smartphone
- The best Windows PC companion phone
- Wireless DeX is amazing
Cons:
- Big and heavy
- Battery life is kinda mediocre
- Very thick camera bump
- Fingerprint sensor is still somewhat slow
