Samsung Galaxy S10e (128GB, Black) - Grade (Excellent) review
The best Samsung Galaxy S10 The Galaxy S10e is the “ budget ” Galaxy S10 series smartphone from Samsung . Take what you will from the “ budget ” label but what has become increasingly clearer over the past few weeks is that it’s the best Samsung Galaxy S10 option to go for. It just works.
Samsung Galaxy S10e (128GB, Black) - Grade (Excellent) review
On the heels of the Google Pixel 3a and OnePlus 7 Pro launches, it is appropriate to consider whether spending $1,000+ on a smartphone is a justifiable purchase. Before making the leap to a Galaxy S10 Plus at $1,000, you could save $200 and go with a Galaxy S10e .- Gorgeous display with no curved edges, Small, pocketable form factor, Capable dual rear cameras, microSD, 3.5mm headset jack, wireless charging, Wireless PowerShare capability, Responsive side capacitive fingerprint scanner
- Average battery life

Samsung Galaxy S10e (128GB, Black) - Grade (Excellent) review
Samsung released three versions of the , The Galaxy S10+, Galaxy S10, and Galaxy S10e. The 10+ and 10 just differ in sizes of the display and battery and while the S10e is the smallest of the three there are a few more things that make it different from the other S10 models.
Samsung Galaxy S10e review review
- Hardware just as beefy as the real thing
- Snappy fingerprint sensor faster than in-display S10
- More compact dimensions handy for all hand sizes
- Battery life only average
- Not really suited to southpaws
- S10 isn’t significantly more cash
Samsung Galaxy S10e review
Can you put a price on screen resolution, battery capacity and a zoom lens? Samsung can - it's £130. That's currently the difference between the S10e and full-fat S10 if you buy SIM-free direct from Samsung. Go for a contract deal from a major UK network and you're looking at a difference of just a few pounds a month to step up to the main event. Right now you've got to really want a shorter screen to go for the S10e, which is a shame - bigger isn't always better, and in some ways we actually prefer this smaller handset to the phone with which it shares a name. At launch, the S10e isn't quite cheap enough to be the affordable S10 alternative Samsung pitches it as - but hopefully with a discount or two, it could become a midlife bargain later down the line.- Hardware just as beefy as the real thing
- Snappy fingerprint sensor faster than in-display S10
- More compact dimensions handy for all hand sizes
- Battery life only average
- Not really suited to southpaws

Samsung Galaxy S10E review: Overlooking Samsung's cheapest phone would be a mistake
The Galaxy S10E is a terrific value for a compact, powerhouse phone, although it can't beat the OnePlus 6T's $550 price. It's been about two months since I reviewed the Galaxy S10E, Samsung's best-value buy among the S10 phones, and I'm still just as sold. While it may seem downright boring compared to the 6.7-inch, quad-camera S10 5G or the bendable Galaxy Fold, the S10E is also much more of a sure thing, and reliability is a pretty universally chart-topping trait when it comes to buying a new phone. The S10 5G will only be as fast as its supporting networks, and... well, you know all about the Galaxy Fold's screen issues.- A dream come true for value shoppers who love small phones
- The Galaxy S10E shares the S10's core camera and Snapdragon 855 chipset, so photos and speed are excellent
- Battery life and wireless power sharing are also spot-on
- Its fingerprint reader and flat screen solve minor problems with the pricier S10 and S10 Plus.
- Lefties and people with small hands may find the fingerprint reader placement a tad inconvenient
- The indented shape makes taking screenshots feel odd.
After launching three smartphones in the ‘S Series' in 2015, Samsung has been launching only two ‘S Series' flagships starting with the Galaxy S7 in 2016, but this year the company launched the Galaxy S10e along with the Galaxy S10 and the Galaxy S10+ .
- 5.8-inch Dynamic AMOLED screen with minimal bezels
- Comfortable one-handed usage
- Smooth performance
- Side-mounted fingerprint scanner is really fast
- Wireless charging and Wireless PowerShare
- Battery life could have been better
- Average low-light camera performance
Samsung Galaxy S10e Review
The Samsung Galaxy S10e ("e" as in "Essentials") is the common denominator of the Galaxy S10 line of products and represents the "base feature set" of the Galaxy S10 family. In our opinion, It exists for two purposes: having a compact high-end phone and an affordable 2019 Galaxy S.- Close to Galaxy S10+ camera performance
- Very compact design
- Speedy hardware
- Display below S10/S10+ quality
Samsung Galaxy S10e review: Cheaper, but just as formidable
The Galaxy S10e might initially be the least impressive of the family, but in the areas that matter most, it's equally as formidable. You'll spot a few compromises here and there but, considering the S10e is the cheapest of the three, the fact that it still brings top-end flagship specifications to...- Cheapest S10
- Doesn't scrimp on performance
- New design is stunning
- Wait a few months for a price drop
- Camera software could be better
