Samsung Galaxy S20+ Plus 5G (12GB RAM, 128GB, Black) - Grade (Excellent) review
Pros:
- Memory size
Cons:
- Battery gets very hot n doesn’t last long
- notifications hard to turn off
- phone hard to slide to answer
- Samsung play keeps popping up
- icons keep moving even when you lock them on screen so as Samsung icons to front. Not impressed!

If you’re looking for a flagship phone with category-leading speakers, the Galaxy S20+ isn’t it, especially if you want to pump out bass. The sound it does provide, though, is fairly well balanced and features solid mid-tones and treble.

- Good preservation of tonal range
- Clear and intelligible recording of voices
- Great preservation of sound dynamics

Cons:
- Tonal reproduction lacks bass at all volumes
- Excessive high-end at maximum volume impairs the gaming experience
- Inconsistent spatial performances depending on the app used
- Improved volume preservation over the S10+
- but still behind current competitors

The Galaxy S20 Plus feels like the enthusiast’s phone most Samsung fans will opt for in 2020. It costs less than the S20 Ultra, but delivers the same core user experience - a big 120Hz screen, 8K video capture and a load of smart camera software features, not to mention 5G.

Galaxy S20 Plus review: The best of both worlds
The middle of Samsung's new Galaxy S20 devices is powerful and large, without being ridiculous. In Samsung's Galaxy S20 world, the S20 Plus is most in need of an identity. Smack dab in the middle of the smaller, cheaper Galaxy S20 and the gargantuan Galaxy S20 Ultra (with an eye-watering price tag to match), the S20 Plus has very little to differentiate itself from the other two. Pricing starts at $1,199, £999 and AU$1,499.
