Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra
The Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra is its best smartphone, yet it falls down in some critical areas.
Pros:
- Less reflective flat Gorilla Armor and a bright display., Battery life is good but not under load., S Pen add value if you use it, The camera is good but not class-leading. Needs more work.
Cons:
- Samsung needs to lose the inaccurate image preview 8-bit display., Charging speed is not class-leading, and fast charging needs a Samsung charger., One UI getting overly complex and deeply layered., AI can be very slow and only for Samsung Apps.

A close call, but the potential for AI is huge
The Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra both impresses and disappoints, but we're already looking forward to the Galaxy S25 Ultra because AI is here to stay.
Pros:
- 7 years of updates, many innovative and well-functioning AI features, new flat and extremely bright screen. And the phone is still a Galaxy Note in disguise, including the S-Pen and productivity features.
Cons:
- AI actually makes the camera worse than last year - not better. The AI-based image editing options don't live up to expectations. Overall, the Galaxy AI doesn't quite live up to its own potential yet.

Pros:
- Better performance and battery life than ever before, Great cameras improve the photo quality over last year, Titanium frame and durable Gorilla Armor glass
Cons:
- Big and heavy – titanium didn’t help with that, Many new and great features are hidden beneath terrible menus, AI features are often useless and cause performance delays

Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra Battery And Charging Samsung's smaller S24 variants got a bit of a battery boost this year, but the S24 Ultra remains at a healthy 5,000mAh. Samsung has also kept the same 45W charging speed. Sadly, the phone doesn't come with a charger, but few do in 2024.
