Samsung has seen fit to update its first Android tablet (the original Galaxy Tab ) with a new model, the Galaxy Tab 2 7.0. It's a 7in Android tablet and is the company's first to run Google's latest Ice Cream Sandwich version of Android out of the box.
Pros:
- Compact and lightweight
- 3G connectivity
- Android 4.0 out of box
Cons:
- Rather underwhelming specs
- No AMOLED display
- No Australian release confirmed

I bought GT2 7.0 3G version on 10th Nov 2012 at Stratford Samsung Shop. From Day 1 i have been facing weird network issues with the Tablet over Wifi, Signal strength drops when i hold the tablet in portrtait mode and improves and remains consistent when in landscape mode. sound literally weird.
Pros:
- Nothing
Cons:
- WiFi
- poor customer service

Bloated
Of course, Samsung's usual bad form is present here, and there's no standard micro-USB connector, requiring their proprietary and overpriced cable. The device DOES NOT CHARGE from a PC's USB port by default, because Samsung would rather have a little more of your money for a proprietary USB...
Pros:
- Good size
- good value compared to Kindle
- decent performance
- Ice-Cream Sandwich
Cons:
- The Samsung-bundled software is an utter abomination to privacy. There are apps like "software update" pre-loaded, which required EVERY PERMISSION available within Android
- and worse yet: This app can't be uninstalled.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0
Samsung's success in the tablet arena hasn't been helped by it seemingly confusing range of devices. ‘Tab' and ‘Note' run in parallel, offering similar and at the same time differing screen sizes, specifications and features.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 review
While the iPad has gone through three iterations since the revolutionary device landed in 2010, Samsung decided to challenge the Apple tablet by offering more tablets in so many different sizes, we are beginning to lose track. The original Samsung Galaxy Tab came in at a smaller 7-inches, and three

- Embedded receiver
Cons:
- Chunky design

Samsung kickstarted the seven inch tablet trend more than two years ago with the very first Galaxy Tab, and now it's back to try again, with a souped up model running a more up to date version of Android. But can it keep up with the tough competition, including the Asus Google Nexus 7?

Weak wifi
It is best to use this upside down. If you hold it by the bottom left corner, you block the aerial. The screen occasionally refuses to accept a tap on a hyperlink. This may be related to the wifi problem.
