Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0

Samsung's success in the tablet arena hasn't been helped by it seemingly confusing range of devices. ‘Tab' and ‘Note' run in parallel, offering similar and at the same time differing screen sizes, specifications and features.

Bough this for my daughter's 8th birthday. I had a play with it before wrapping to check it over and see what it could do. I was absolutely amazed at what a 7" piece of equipment is capable of.

Bloated

Of course, Samsung's usual bad form is present here, and there's no standard micro-USB connector, requiring their proprietary and overpriced cable. The device DOES NOT CHARGE from a PC's USB port by default, because Samsung would rather have a little more of your money for a proprietary USB...
Pros:
  • Good size
  • good value compared to Kindle
  • decent performance
  • Ice-Cream Sandwich
Cons:
  • The Samsung-bundled software is an utter abomination to privacy. There are apps like "software update" pre-loaded, which required EVERY PERMISSION available within Android
  • and worse yet: This app can't be uninstalled.

Pros:
  • Battery Life
  • Easy To Customize
  • Operating System
  • Screen
  • Web Browsing
  • WiFi
Cons:
  • Typing
