The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-TX55 digital camera is based around a 16.2 effective megapixel, backside-illuminated Sony Exmor R CMOS image sensor, coupled to a Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar-branded, prism-folded 5x optical zoom lens.

I've been more-or-less happy with my Sony T-100 since march 2007, but was wooed by the promises of every latest advance in Digital Camera technology with the TX55. The size was right, the weight an incredible 3 oz less than my already miniscule T-100.
