Sony Xperia Sola
In some respects, designing a mid-range handset must be harder than designing the flagship models. A mid-tier mobile needs to maintain the same "feel" as other phones in its range, but also needs its own defining elements.
Pros:
- Great UI and performance
- NFC
- Decent camera
Cons:
- Limited internal storage
- Colour banding on LCD display
- 3.7-inch screen may be too small for some

Light 'em up
Sony are busy extending their Xperia line, after the Japanese behemoth bought out their Ericsson counterpart, and the Xperia sola lies squarely in the middle of the pack. The flagship Xperia S has set the ceiling and the Xperia U will set the floor of what to expect from the company's Android...

This is a really good device.
Xperia Sola, the latest in Sony's venture alone in the Mobile World. This is a device not to be looked down on, it sports a dual core processor, which is the most power efficient dual core processor in the market now.

Sony Xperia Sola – Floating Touch, rectangular shape and NFC technology
SmartTag, Floating Touch display, and NFC technology – these are three of the most interesting specs and features of Sony Xperia Sola . Apart from that, Sony did a good job in naming it. We're pretty sure you're not as fond with their single-letter devices like Sony Xperia S, P, and U.

Sony Xperia Sola
Sony's Xperia Sola is a respectable mid-tier phone, with a good smattering of features and decent performance. Some that will argue that its 3.7-inch screen is too small for various smartphone tasks and the colour banding issues we've encountered may be a deal-breaker for others.
Pros:
- Great UI and performance
- NFC
- Decent camera
Cons:
- Limited internal storage
- Colour banding on LCD display
- 3.7-inch screen may be too small for some

Sony's Xperia Sola is a mid-range Android phone that follows the same design principles as the company's more expensive . A compact frame, reasonable build quality and NFC capabilities are nice features, but the Xperia Sola is a little overpriced.
Pros:
- Compact design and good build
- NFC SmartTags
- Reasonably intuitive software
Cons:
- Poor ergonomics
- Screen makes typing a chore
- Terrible camera button

Hands on: Sony Xperia S and Xperia Sola
The Sony Xperia S is the first flagship phone for the Japanese electronics giant after it took over control of Sony Ericsson last year , and it certainly looks the part and competes well in a crowded arena of Android phones.
