SteelSeries Arctis 3 Headset Review – Affordable Solution for Your Switch Audio Needs
I truly believe we are in the golden age of gaming. Video games have never been more intense, and pressure-filled. In-game maps are more massive than ever, enemies are increasingly ferocious and graphically games are more life-like than ever before.
Pros:
- Very comfortable
- Light
- Versatile
- Solid sounds
Cons:
- No USB connection
- No color
- Finicky software
- Not the best headset on the market

The Arctis 3 is SteelSeries' new gaming headset with virtual 7.1 surround sound. The Arctis is designed to look subtle and classy compared to other gaming headsets. It's a reasonable headset but if your budget will stretch then we'd recommend buying the Arctis 5 instead.
Pros:
- Great looks and incredibly comfortable
- Lovely sound range
Cons:
- Incredibly annoying software
- Headsets with similar features are far cheaper
- Bi-directional microphone can pick up background noise without specialist software
- Arctis 5 costs only a little more and is better

SteelSeries Arctis 7 Headset Review
A few weeks ago we reviewed SteelSeries' flagship mouse, the Rival 700, but today our attention turns to gaming headsets, and the Arctis 7. A wireless headset, the Arctis 7 has a metric ton of features including virtual 7.1 surround-sound, ChatMix support and on-ear volume controls to name just 3.
Pros:
- Good audio quality
- Excellent mic
- ChatMix feature is simply brilliant
- Stylish
- Can be used via wireless or wired connection
- Good battery life
Cons:
- My ears pressed against the drivers when in use which was very uncomfortable
- Definitely more expensive than your average gaming headset

The SteelSeries Arctis Pro GameDAC are good for wired gaming. They're comfortable and their wired design means you don't have to worry about lag. While they can sound different depending on who's wearing them, the DAC has a built-in EQ that allows you to tweak the sound to your liking on-the-go.
