PS4 Review: Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection
We all knew it'd happen when The Last of Us Remastered emerged, we knew we'd get an Uncharted collection on PS4. What I didn't expect was just how much detail they'd put into the remasters, it's not just upscaled to 1080p but has updated textures that make it look like it always belonged on the...
Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection PS4 Review
As the romping theme song blared into my ears, I took a second to ponder on the impact the Uncharted series had on the wider gaming industry. From their somber days developing Crash Bandicoot and Jak & Daxter , developer Naughty Dog had come out of the PlayStation 3 generation as the best developer...
Oh man, has this past week been a love-affair of gaming for me. First I got to tackle Journey, which I absolutely loved, but is a short and quick experience when faced with the mountain of content that is Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection.
Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection Review
Arguably the biggest franchise for the PlayStation 3, Naughty Dog's Uncharted series was a big reason to own the console. It's hard to imagine anyone who
Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection review
Tim navigates his way through a trio of Uncharted titles, each gussied up for release on the PS4 by port specialists Bluepoint Games.- The new graphics and audio upgrades are fantastic
- New difficulty modes will cater to both hardcore and casual players alike
- Still among the best action platformer games available
- The same occasional gameplay annoyances are still present, particularly in Drake's Fortune
- Few reasons for returning fans to purchase aside from the better graphics
Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection
Here's something I never expected. For a long time, I've been a passionate PC gamer and then I fell in love with the Xbox 360 (Shut up, it was platonic!). At the time, games like Uncharted were, well, uncharted territory and I could see a lot of people enjoying it.- Three kick-ass action adventures for the price of one
- Sorry still miss the multiplayer
- more extras would've been nice
PS4 Review - 'Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection'
Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection includes the single-player campaigns for Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, and Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception.
Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection Review - Still jaw-dropping
To be honest, it's an easy recommendation for any gamer. First and foremost has to be the new Sony converts. If you didn't have a PS3 last-gen, or simply missed out on the series (you can't play everything) and now have a PS4, this is an essential purchase.- Looks better than most PS4 games
- Set-pieces are still ridiculously fun
- Characters are as lovable as ever
- Gunfights can last too long
- Enemies are bullet sponges
- Leaning backwards for wall-jumps is awkward
It's kind of crazy to think that the first Uncharted game is almost 8 years old. 8 years since we were first introduced to the always lucky Nathan Drake and his treasure searching escapades. So much has happened in that time, so many developments and so many games leading the way in innovation.
- Three of the best on one disc l Amazing Visuals l Solid gameplay l It's Nathan Drake
- Uncharted 3 still feels a bit off l No multiplayer
