Heavy is the head that wears the crown.
The best Final Fantasy games are often regarded for their layered characters and stories, but that will not be Final Fantasy XV's legacy. Save for a few minor arcs and some impressive cutscenes, the story of the deposed Prince Noctis and his three bodyguards ultimately leaves little room for its...
Pros:
- Impressive open-world that's equally beautiful and haunting
- Fast and fluid combat system
- Captivating monsters
- Rewarding endgame challenges
Cons:
- Unsurprising plot
- Shallow characters
- Astrals are needlessly difficult to summon

Watch Dogs 2 review – GTA got hacked
It's still lacking a certain je ne sais quoi, but this is a definite improvement on the first game and a serious alternative to GTA V.
Pros:
- The movement, shooting, and driving mechanics are all very good, and amongst the best in the genre
- Interesting use of the hacktivist theme and some innovative online options
Cons:
- The story and characters still lack of charisma, and the open world isn't as interesting as a purely fictional one
- Some formulaic mission design and inconsistent AI

Watch Dogs 2: Hacking Fun in San Fran
Watch Dogs 2 isn't a revolution, but it's a clear improvement on the original, which gave us a bland hero with nothing to say. Ubisoft clearly listened to the criticisms of Watch Dogs because this time around we get more fun, a much more engaging protagonist and some political bite.

Watch Dogs 2 (PlayStation 4) Review
Set in a fairly bleak, near future interpretation of Chicago, the first Watch Dogs honed in on the plight of a highly skilled grey hat hacker called Aiden Pierce (who incidentally makes a cameo in this) as he sought revenge for the murder of his niece, the unfortunate recipient of a bullet with his...

However, Watch Dogs 2's recipe is in no way original, on the contrary. There's no argue that Ubisoft's game borrows a lot from Grand Theft Auto gameplay mechanics, but that's not necessarily a bad thing.
Pros:
- Great hacking mechanics
- Amazing looking fictionalized version of San Francisco
- Quirky and fun dialog
- Major improvements over the predecessor
- Solid multiplayer
Cons:
- Mediocre main story
- Overly repetitive
- Forgettable characters
- Misses a lot of potential

Back in 2014, Ubisoft tried its hand at a more traditional Grant Theft Auto-style open-world title with Watch Dogs . For a first shot, it was a pretty good one. Two years later, Ubisoft Montreal is back, building on that foundation.

Watch Dogs 2 review
Watch Dogs 2 is an excellent sequel that ditches the earnestness of its predecessor, pumps up the power fantasy, and turns players loose in a vibrant and engaging city. It's one of the best open world games to come around in a while.
Pros:
- Hacking abilities and drone warfare are the backbone of some truly tasty gameplay
- There's an insane amount of stuff to do
- The game world is a vibrant metropolis ripe for mischief
Cons:
- Long loading times are a bore
- The multiplayer is more miss than hit
