iPad Air (2019) review: Apple's newest tablet combines productivity with affordability
For the past few years, there's been a giant void left in Apple's iPad lineup. On the low end, the base iPad model has retained the traditional form factor, with a spec bump here and there, and most recently gained Apple Pencil support.- Affordably priced
- Solid performance and battery life
- Smart Keyboard support
- No Face ID
- Needs more speakers

For the past few years, Apple's iPad lineup has had a large and obvious hole in it. At one end, there's the $329 iPad , an affordable way to do basic computing and run the many excellent apps out there.

- Support for Apple's Smart Keyboard
- Uses the goofy old Apple Pencil
- A design that's getting rather tired
- Only two speakers
Apple iPad Air (2019) review: The best balance of features and price
The 2019 iPad Air is basically an iPad Pro in all but name. In fact, take it back a couple of years, and the smaller iPad Pro was pretty much this tablet. - Battery will last a full day
- Pro features like Pencil and Smart Keyboard support are great

Working on an iPad Air review has given us a serious case of deja vu for 2013, when Apple first released a tablet of that name. But despite the classic moniker, the 2019 iPad Air is a new beast… though people who saw the 10.5-inch iPad Pro from 2017 might find themselves having a second round of...- More than enough power on offer

- An OLED screen would be nice
- Speakers a bit measly
Apple iPad Air 10.5-inch Wi-Fi Only (2019 Model)
Huge upgrade from my older generation 1 ipud and feels faster than my current iPhone XR! The additional $50 smartcover is flimsy and expensive and doesn't protect the back. Can't imagine what anyone needs out of a Pro when the Air is this smokin'.
