Apple’s New iPad Air Is a Great Tablet With a Few Quirks

The latest iPad Air is light, powerful, convenient, and just a little awkward.
Pros:
  • Super fast chip. Long battery life—over 11 hours, in my testing. Lighter than the iPad Pro, if just barely. Apple's Magic Keyboard accessory is supported. TouchID embedded in top button is convenient
  • it works on first try most of the time, but not all of the time.
Cons:
  • Rear camera module lacks an ultrawide camera, and speakers aren’t as powerful as the ones on iPad Pro. Video calls on the iPad are still frustrating. Score would be higher, except for backlight bleed spotted on the display.

Apple iPad AIR 4 2020 10.9" Wifi (64GB, Space Grey) - Grade (Excellent) review

Seems like an ok iPad but as usual apple throws in some expensive tricks. There is no 3.5 mm jack port and no doogle thingy to use so no headphone use. The charging cable is a “C” to “C” cable so all your other cables don’t work including the one to sync it to your computer with a USB port.

Apple iPad Air 10.9 2022 review

Overall, the Apple iPad Air easily beats the previous generation Apple iPad 4 , both in terms of performance as well as design. Unlike the Apple iPhone 5S, which is a nearly identical smartphone with the Apple iPhone 5 , the iPad Air is an almost completely different machine compared to the iPad 4.

The Apple iPad Air looks a lot like the 11-inch iPad Pro, and that is a great thing. Mind you, there are some under the hood differences though. It’s a different processor line, for starters.

The iPad Air finally has a solid identity with its fourth-generation model—this time as an affordable alternative to the iPad Pro. While you miss out on features like the 120hz ProMotion display, quad speakers, FaceID, Ultra-wide-angle camera, and LIDAR, the 4th-generation iPad Air comes with...

Apple iPad Air 10.9 2022 review

We already liked the iPad Air, and it's the best tablet for most people who can afford it. Yes, you can get cheaper Android tablets or the entry-level iPad , but you sacrifice a lot of performance and features to save a few hundred dollars.
Pros:
  • Way more performance than this kind of device even needs, Very good screen for the price, 5G is a welcome addition if you live in an area with good coverage, Faster USB-C, Center Stage partly alleviates the iPad's Zoom call woes
Cons:
  • Touch ID can be a little awkward on the top button, No stereo sound in portrait mode, It gets pricy fast once you add a Pencil or Magic Keyboard to access its full capabilities

Apple iPad Air 10.9 2022 review

If you want crazy levels of performance, pretty colours, and a clean modern design that’s close the Pro models, then the Air lets you have that on a (relative) budget. For most people though, the price increase of the Air in recent years will make it a bit out of reach, and that’s fine because the...
