Apple iPad Mini 4

Editors' note, June 8, 2017: At its Worldwide Developer's Conference , Apple unveiled a new iPad Pro . Starting at $649, £619 and A$949 , the new model packs a a bigger screen -- a 10.5-inch Retina display -- into a footprint similar to that of the cheaper 9.7-inch model Apple debuted a few months...
Pros:
  • Compact size, vivid display, works with split-screen apps in iOS 9
  • Basically, a shrunken-down iPad Air 2
  • Perfect hand feel for vacations
Cons:
  • Price is high for an 8-inch tablet
  • Slower graphics mean some apps and games don't feel as zippy
  • Small screen makes for cramped typing and multitasking

It's Apple, you love it or hate it

I happen to love Apple, I like the way the apps work and I use it for the apps only and not for file storage so for me my only gripe is that Costco does not sell the cellular options... little strange that Costco sells cheaper then apple.

Wrong Item Ordered - But Perfect for a Gift!

After ordering I went to check to see when I would have it in the mail and realized I ordered the wrong sized iPad - I tried to cancel the order but it was too late. So when it came in I thought to myself "I will just send it back" but I opened the box instead and saw all of the items the Apple iPad...

iPad Mini 4 review: When a tinier iPad isn't always the better iPad

Unless you're absolutely in love with the iPad Mini 4's smaller size, opt for the faster, larger, identically priced, and still pretty portable iPad Air 2. Editor's note, March 18, 2019: Apple has announced two new iPads. Starting at $499 (£479, AU$779) for the 64GB model, the new iPad Air features a 10.5-inch Retina display, an A12 Bionic processor and support for the Apple Pencil. It replaces the 10.5-inch iPad Pro from 2017, which is no longer sold. The new iPad Mini, starting at $399 (£399, AU$599) for the 64GB version, also has the A12 chip and Pencil support, but is otherwise nearly identical to the iPad Mini 4 it replaces. The original review of the iPad Mini, first published July 2, 2016 and last updated on June 9, 2017, follows.
Pros:
  • Compact size, vivid display, works with split-screen apps in iOS 9
  • Basically, a shrunken-down iPad Air 2
  • Perfect hand feel for vacations.
Cons:
  • Price is high for an 8-inch tablet
  • Slower graphics mean some apps and games don't feel as zippy
  • Small screen makes for cramped typing and multitasking.

For shoppers looking for a compact, wallet-friendly tablet with premium features, the $399 iPad mini 4 is a solid choice. This device has not been completely overhauled or upgraded since the previous generation mini 3 and mini 2.

Apple iPad Mini 4 Review

Apple's iPad Mini 4 still works well, even if the insides are starting to get a bit dated.
Pros:
  • Small and compact
  • Strong and attractive all-metal design
  • iOS 9's multi-tasking is useful
  • Faster A8 processor
Cons:
  • It's pricier than Android alternatives
  • iPad Air 2 and iPad Pro offer more

The Apple iPad Mini 4 Review

I wasn't very excited about the iPad Mini 3 when Apple announced it last year, as it was just the iPad Mini 2 with Touch ID while the iPad Air 2 was a substantial upgrade from the iPad Air in many ways.
