Apple iPhone 12 128GB - Black MGJA3X/A review
The iPhone 12 series brings top-notch design, world-class connectivity, and an improved Night-mode camera to the nation's most popular phone. But with four similar models, which one is best? It's complicated.- Excellent Night mode camera
- Better 4G (and 5G) than previous iPhones
- Beautiful build
- Solid battery life
- Several similar
- but not-quite-the-same models
- AT&T and Verizon 5G underwhelms
- Charging and power adapter situation is confusing
Apple iPhone 12 Review
The iPhone 12 series brings top-notch design, world-class connectivity, and an improved Night-mode camera to the nation's most popular phone. But with four similar models, which one is best? It's complicated. Hard-edged phones for a hard-edged year, Apple's iPhone 12 series brings a solid feel, excellent screens, better low-light camera performance, and improved network connectivity to America's most popular smartphone line. If you have an iPhone more than a year old, one of the four new iPhones is worth your money. The trick is figuring out which one. I'm the 5G guy, and during the iPhone 12 launch, Apple talked about 5G a lot. The iPhone 12 is the best 5G phone so far, but Verizon's and AT&T's so-called "nationwide" 5G aren't worth your time. T-Mobile's mid-band 5G does deliver improved performance, but T-Mobile doesn't have a map for that system, which makes it hard to find. That said, as I'll detail momentarily, the iPhone 12 series improves 4G performance enough that it's worth buying just for that. There are four new iPhones; and they're not all that different from one another. You're reading our main review of the iPhone 12 (starts at $799 for 64GB), which overlaps our review of...- Excellent Night mode camera

Apple iPhone 12 review: The best iPhone for most people
Among the press and technology enthusiasts, the iPhone 12 Pro gets the focus. It’s the high-end model with all of the features, and price be damned, we all want one. But that overlooks the fact that most people have more reasonable expectations and budgets, and are immediately drawn to the standard iPhone 12. The iPhone 12 is the phone that gets people in the door (or on the website), where they then have the option of changing their choice to a Mini, Pro, or Pro Max. And that puts a lot of burden on the iPhone 12: It has to be really good because most people pick it by default. Here’s how well it lives up to the expectations. And why it is, indeed, the best iPhone 12 model for most people. The iPhone 12 is exactly the same size as the 12 Pro — Apple’s own cases are interchangeable. And with a case on the phone, the only way you can tell it’s not a Pro is the missing third camera lens — though you still get the large squircle camera housing, reminding you of the space that would be occ...- Excellent camera performance

Apple iPhone 12 (128GB, Green) - Excellent review
Even without the third camera, there’s a lot to like about the iPhone 12, which offers some handy little improvements on the iPhone 11, a phone that stays in the 2020 Apple line-up. The two cameras have been tightened up and feel better than last time, and the whole phone is faster overall.- New design language makes for an easy phone to grip, Flat edges mean it can stand up on surfaces, Lighter aluminium design feels great in the hands, Better OLED screen than previous iPhone 11 or iPhone XR, Durability improvements to the screen, Great camera with excellent video, Solid performance,...
- Dual camera combination may not be as useful as the triple of the 12 Pro, No support for Apple's RAW format in the future, even though the hardware is similar, Not the best battery, with similar battery concerns exhibited in the iPhone 12 Pro
Apple iPhone 12 128GB - Black MGJA3X/A review
In a very Samsung-esque style this year we saw Apple announce four new models of the iPhone 12 at one time. Only two are available for purchase now, with two more coming this month.- Gorgeous flat glass OLED
- Flat matte edges
- Vibrant blue color
- iOS 14 with Android elements
- 5G
- Loud stereo speakers
- Volume buttons tough to feel
- Rather expensive
Apple iPhone 12 128GB - Black MGJA3X/A review
On Friday, two new iPhone models arrived at my home: the iPhone 12 and the iPhone 12 Pro. In this article, I would like to share my first impressions of Cupertino's latest handsets with you. How does Apple's new flagship smartphones perform in everyday life?
Apple iPhone 12 128GB - Black MGJA3X/A review
Better design, a better display and all the power you’ll ever need make the iPhone 12 a marked improvement over the already great 11 - but don't buy it for 5G- Stunning to look at and impressively light in the hand
- Finally an OLED display for the non-Pro iPhone
- 5G future-proofed
- Brilliant
- versatile camera system
- We’d rather have a telephoto than the ultra-wide
- 5G may be here
- but most people won’t find much of it yet
- Battery life decent rather than brilliant
Apple iPhone 12 review
We were big fans of last year’s iPhone 11, and huge improvements made to the design and display mean that its successor gets an equally emphatic thumbs-up. In fact, we’d go as far as to say that if you think you can live without the telephoto camera (and most people probably can), you should save yourself the £150-£200 (depending on which configuration you go for) and get the 12 ahead of the Pro. In so many ways it’s exactly the same phone, and is just as 5G-ready, though don’t let that be the reason you upgrade. Big or small phone lovers should hold on for verdicts on the two iPhones still to come this year, but for everyone else, the iPhone 12 is one of Apple’s very best to date.- Stunning to look at and impressively light in the hand
