Apple's iPhone 12 is probably the one you should get. Save that $200 and put them towards some cool accessories.- New design is pretty and compact
- OLED screen
- finally! MagSafe is cool and has potential
- Outstanding performance
- One of the best cameras on a smartphone
- No charger
- no headphones in the box
- 64 GB of storage is fine
- but feels a bit stingy in current ecosystem
- No telephoto lens
- No ultra high refresh rate
Apple iPhone 12 128GB - Black MGJA3X/A review
The iPhone 12 isn’t just the right iPhone for most people, it’s one of the best smartphones ever made.- Fantastic display with an elegant design, Excellent camera with spectacular low-light capabilities, Insanely good performance and battery life, 5G future-proofing
- No 120Hz ProMotion or always-on display, No telephoto camera
Apple iPhone 12 128GB - Black MGJA3X/A review
“The iPhone 12 offers incredible value for $799, and calls into question how many people need to buy a 12 Pro.”- Excellent camera performance
- Fast and consistent software
- Beautiful and colorful hardware
- Good battery life
- 5G connectivity
- Light body feels a bit cheap
- MagSafe offers little right now
Apple iPhone 12 128GB - Black MGJA3X/A review
The main takeaway from my time with iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 mini is that across the board, the average iPhone user likely won't need the features that the iPhone 12 Pro offer- Features a great-looking OLED screen
- Redesign is great
- Specs are very similar to the iPhone 12 Pro
- It's more expensive than the iPhone 11 was at launch
- No telephoto lens
- Some might not be fond of the redesign
Apple iPhone 12 (128GB, Green) - Excellent review
The iPhone 12 is a great all-around device and a good middle-ground between the cheaper iPhone 12 Mini and SE and the more expensive iPhone 12 Pro and 12 Pro Max. If you’re looking at the iPhone 12 series, the middle of the road iPhone 12 should be the one to get for most people.- The new design and colours are nice (especially the blue), Great camera and can shoot Dolby Vision video (at 30fps), Good battery life with long standby time, A14 Bionic offers quick performance, Wireless charging and fast charge support, The OLED screen looks great and is the same as the iPhone 12...
- iOS 14 needs a bit more work, More expensive than the previous models, The MagSafe ecosystem is cool and has potential but not great now
iPhone 12 review
The combination of an updated design, the Super Retina XDR OLED display, improvements to the camera and great performance, the iPhone 12 is the iPhone that most people should buy.- Gorgeous industrial design, Super Retina XDR display, Camera improvements
- No charger, No high refresh rate display, More expensive
iPhone 12 Review
The iPhone 12 truly is a notable jump for Apple’s mainline phone and it now feels almost as Pro as the actual Pro model. For £799/$799, this is a seriously complete device.- Fantastic new design reminiscent of the iPhone 5, Exceptional performance, Very reliable cameras
- Screen lacks some of the benefits you’ll find elsewhere, If the notch annoyed you before, it’ll annoy you again
Apple iPhone 12 128GB - Black MGJA3X/A review
In a very Samsung-esque style this year we saw Apple announce four new models of the iPhone 12 at one time. Only two are available for purchase now, with two more coming this month.- Gorgeous flat glass OLED
- Flat matte edges
- Vibrant blue color
- iOS 14 with Android elements
- 5G
- Loud stereo speakers
- Volume buttons tough to feel
- Rather expensive
Apple iPhone 12 128GB - Black MGJA3X/A review
Better design, a better display and all the power you’ll ever need make the iPhone 12 a marked improvement over the already great 11 - but don't buy it for 5G- Stunning to look at and impressively light in the hand
- Finally an OLED display for the non-Pro iPhone
- 5G future-proofed
- Brilliant
- versatile camera system
- We’d rather have a telephoto than the ultra-wide
- 5G may be here
- but most people won’t find much of it yet
- Battery life decent rather than brilliant
Apple iPhone 12 review
We were big fans of last year’s iPhone 11, and huge improvements made to the design and display mean that its successor gets an equally emphatic thumbs-up. In fact, we’d go as far as to say that if you think you can live without the telephoto camera (and most people probably can), you should save yourself the £150-£200 (depending on which configuration you go for) and get the 12 ahead of the Pro. In so many ways it’s exactly the same phone, and is just as 5G-ready, though don’t let that be the reason you upgrade. Big or small phone lovers should hold on for verdicts on the two iPhones still to come this year, but for everyone else, the iPhone 12 is one of Apple’s very best to date.- Stunning to look at and impressively light in the hand
- Finally an OLED display for the non-Pro iPhone
- 5G future-proofed
- Brilliant, versatile camera system
- We’d rather have a telephoto than the ultra-wide
- 5G may be here, but most people won’t find much of it yet
- Battery life decent rather than brilliant
