Apple iPhone 12 Pro 5G (256GB, Gold) - Excellent review

The iPhone 12 Pro is an upgrade over the iPhone 11 Pro, but it’s a relatively minor one. The camera is a little better, and the design is pretty different. But if you have an iPhone 11 Pro you won’t notice much of a difference.

Apple iPhone 12 Pro 256GB - Graphite MGMP3X/A review

Released in October 2020, the Apple iPhone 12 Pro is one of a tight-knit family of four new “12” devices from the Cupertino giant. The same size as its non-Pro 12 sibling, smaller than the iPhone 12 Pro Max, and obviously larger than the iPhone 12 Mini, this particular device comes with a Super...

Apple iPhone 12 Pro Review

If you're a serious creative who doesn't want a huge phone, the iPhone 12 Pro packs superior imaging and video capability into a reasonably sized, beautifully designed body. I'm going to make this brief. Of the four models in the iPhone 12 lineup, the iPhone 12 Pro looks like the top value if you're serious about photography and video. The 12 Pro's LiDAR sensor, Night Portrait mode, and telephoto lens aren't available on the lower-cost models, and will be worth the extra $150 (using the 128GB models' pricing) for those whom their iPhone is a camera first and foremost. There are four very similar models in the iPhone 12 lineup: the iPhone 12 mini (starts at $699 for 64GB), the iPhone 12 (starts at $799 for 64GB), the iPhone 12 Pro (starts at $999 for 128GB) and the iPhone 12 Pro Max (starts at $1,099 for 128GB). This short piece will give you a quick sketch of how the iPhone 12 Pro differs from the iPhone 12 and why we've designated it as our Editors' Choice. We've wrapped a deeper discussion of all four models into our main iPhone 12 review because they have so much in common. That's where you can read in depth about all the iPhone 12 features. The 12...

Apple iPhone 12 Pro 256GB - Graphite MGMP3X/A review

The iPhone 12 Pro is a premium smartphone, complete with medical-grade stainless steel frame, an upgraded LiDAR sensor and the ability to record [email protected] Dolby Vision HDR video, but with so many similarities to the standard iPhone 12, it's not a cut-and-dry recommendation.
Pros:
  • Premium build, Bigger display than last year, [email protected] Dolby Vision video support
Cons:
  • Very similar to iPhone 12, Expensive, Standard 60Hz refresh rate

Apple iPhone 12 Pro 256GB - Graphite MGMP3X/A review

Apple iPhone 12 Pro review: Better than the iPhone 12 but only slightly, the iPhone 12 Pro isn’t quite worth the £200 premium

  • Durable ceramic shield glass
  • Dolby Vision video at 60fps
  • Very powerful
Cons:
  • Mediocre battery life
  • Cameras can suffer bad lens flare
