iPhone 4S review

Reviewing the iPhone 4S is in many ways a lot like reviewing the original iPhone 4, except that it's not. The device, which was just announced at a special event on Apple's campus, is very much the same phone the company released in June of 2010 - but it's also something completely new.
Pros:
  • Camera is stunning
  • Retina Display is still best in class
  • Siri software is incredibly cool and surprisingly useful
Cons:
  • iOS is beginning to show its age
  • Improved 3G speeds don't seem very improved
  • especially compared to LTE devices
  • Glass and metal design is beautiful
  • but easy to shatter

Apple iPhone 4S review

It's not an essential upgrade, but Apple's iPhone 4S is noticeably fitter than the iPhone 4 – and Siri is a temptation too far
Pros:
  • Slick
  • superfast performance
  • That new 8MP camera really shines
  • Siri is destined to be your new best friend
Cons:
  • Not a radical departure from iPhone 4
  • Easy to damage when dropped

Apple iPhone 4S in-depth review -

There's a term used to describe the allure of Apple products and it was coined in 1981 by an Apple software designer. Legend goes that the reality distortion field, or "RDF", was what Steve Jobs spun to convince one of anything via charisma, hyperbole and that glistening veneer known as really,...
Pros:
  • Incredibly responsive interface and touch-screen
  • notifications bar for events and weather
  • excellent camera
  • still the slickest hardware design on any phone
  • high-quality apps at an easy to navigate app store
Cons:
  • iCloud data sync costs after a miserly 5GB
  • most of its best features available as a software update to older iPhones

iPhone 4S

The iPhone 4S needs no introduction. It has sold so many pre-orders that it has already been declared a smash hit even before it was available for sale. Now, at long last, we've gotten our hands on one, and it lives up to the hype, and then some.
Pros:
  • Still beautiful
  • much faster A5 dual core CPU
  • better camera and Siri
Cons:
  • No 4G
  • glass front and back more likely to crack if dropped

Pros:
  • Ultra-capable camera
  • Siri voice assistant is handy
  • novel
  • HSPA+ delivers speed boost
  • Same gorgeous Retina display
  • Solid
  • attractive design
Cons:
  • Still nowhere near 4G LTE speeds
  • No expandable storage
  • replaceable battery
  • Fragile glass back necessitates case

The iPhone 4S is Apple's top of the line smartphone, but is it just a small upgrade over the iPhone 4 or something entirely different? It looks the same, but does it act the same? New in the iPhone 4S is Siri, Apple's virtual personal assistant, along with an upgraded camera, twice the speed as far...
