Apple's 2014 iPhones have made a predictable dent in both the media and the high-end smartphone market , with the 'upsizing' of the handsets and the simultaneous release of iOS 8 grabbing much attention.
Pros:
- Elegant slimline chassis with 4.7-inch screen
- Solid build quality
- Performance boost over iPhone 5s
- Fast autofocus on iSight camera
- Good new features in iOS 8
Cons:
- Battery life may not be enough for power users
- No optical image stabilisation on iSight camera
- No NFC-enabled Apple Pay support outside the US

Apple iPhone 6
For years, Apple held onto the smaller 4-inch screen size despite the growing popularity of 5-inch+ Android phones. The release of the iPhone 6 is Apple's white flag in the small screen department.
Pros:
- Improved processor performance
- Good battery life
- Excellent contrast and color reproduction
- Fast auto-focus technology
Cons:
- Screen isn't full HD
- Large bezels around screen

Review: Apple iPhone 6
In the iPhone 5 review, I remember writing that, "As Android manufacturers continue to flood the market with absurdly large phones, it's good to see Apple Think Different." Not any more though, as Apple has changed. It's no more a company under Steve Job's leadership, that did things differently.
Pros:
- Great user experience

- Excellent for gaming
- Rich App Store
Cons:
- Lacks mass storage mode
- Supports few video formats
- Lacklustre maps
- Lacks FM Radio
- Reachability feature is stupid

The build quality and design certainly reflect the Apple ethos and we see curved edges where there is a seamless transition of glass to metal anodized aluminium and stainless steel.
