The iPhone 8 is the perfect update to the iPhone 7. Battery life is better, as is the camera, and, unlike the iPhone 8 Plus, it's significantly cheaper than the upcoming iPhone X. It's difficult to get excited about, however.- Great camera, Decent battery life, Ergonomic design
- Large bezels look dated, Fast charging costs extra, Difficult to get excited about
iPhone 8 review
Don’t let the iPhone 8 name fool you – this is very much the iPhone 7S, an incremental upgrade on the 4.7-inch iPhone 7 with a few additions here and there, but nothing to really wow you next to other smartphones in 2018.- Wireless charging is useful
- Glass rear is pleasing in the hand
- Camera is great at point-and-shoot
- Limited upgrade over iPhone 7
- Bezel-heavy design looks dated
- Battery only just lasts a day

The iPhone 8 might be the last of its kind, the last Apple smartphone with a home button and IPS display. If this is the case, the Americans at least gave us a very good final chapter. We once again miss major new features or innovations, but the iPhone 8 still beats its predecessor in many regards.- high build quality, True-Tone display, fast SoC, great camera, accurate GPS, Bluetooth 5.0, high Wi-Fi performance, many LTE bands, water and dust protection
- storage cannot be expanded, only 12 months warranty, no stereo jack, only average speakers, display resolution could be higher, heavier than the predecessor, very limited NFC functionality
iPhone 8: Full, in-depth review
While it won’t inspire mania among the enthusiast crowd like the iPhone X will, the iPhone 8 remains a solid package for those happy to play things safe. In an odd change of tune for Apple, the new iPhone 8 can’t really be said to be this year’s “best iPhone ever”. Sure, it’s got a better processor, quality-of-life improvements like wireless charging and an ever-so-slightly refined design. Unfortunately, with the futuristic, face-reading iPhone X just around the corner, the iPhone 8 feels a little overshadowed.- A11 Bionic Processor
- Premium feel
- Camera feels mediocore by Apple's standards
- Expensive
Apple iPhone 8 (64GB, Black) - Excellent review
Not waterproof, and the batteries aren't replaceable, but hard to beat when it comes to cycling-suitable smartphones

The iPhone 8 anchors Apple's 2017 phone line, but it isn't where the future is.- Wireless charging., Powerful new processor.
- Lacks the latest modem features and bands., Single camera is a disadvantage for AR., Not a huge upgrade over last year'
- s model, which is still available.

The iPhone 7 & 7 Plus witnessed a lot of media attention. And going by sales too, it could be said to be a bit successful. Well, the iPhone 7 tenure is about to be expired, so we move on to greater things – the iPhone 8.

Apple on September 12 showcased the world new iPhones. This event was special for two reasons, one was that it took place at the Steve jobs theater in Apple’s new Cupertino headquarters, Apple Park and the other was marking 10 years of the iPhone.
