So Far So Good
Replaced my 5 year old ASUS RT-AC68 with the AX11000. Also bought the ASUS AX6000 to create an AI mesh with the RT-AC68. Set-up was super easy. Kept my SSID addresses and password the same so all 17 wireless clients didnt have to be reconfigured.

Great Router!
Really nice router. Very good signal. I have seen 100 - 200 mb increase in download speed on the opposite side of my home. To me it has been worth the money. Very tunable... Great user interface.

A lot of potential, it's early
It's a new release, so it will have some issues. I also experienced A few connection drops like the other people who reviewed it, but after adjusting some settings such as leaving the AX off, it's perfectly stable. I think client devices can't yet use AX.
Pros:
- Newest technology
- but cannot yet be utilized
Cons:
- No AX devices available yet

ASUS ROG Rapture GT-AX11000 router review
As I am writing this review, it still is not possible to test AX or WIFI 6, AX clients are simply not yet available to the consumer, otherwise, I would have been able to show you what this puppy can really do.

Asus ROG Rapture GT-AX11000 review: A fast, powerful router
As a specialised gaming router, the GT-AX11000 is a little disappointing. Its bandwidth management features are solid, but the port-forwarding and ping map features aren't exactly life-changing, and they only work for a handful of games.
Pros:
- 802.11ax for future-proof networking
- Lots of high-end features
Cons:
- Gaming-specific tools are limited
- Only five Ethernet ports

Review of the ASUS ROG Rapture GT-AX11000 Tri-Band WiFi Gaming Router
The idea of a gaming router is mostly nonsense. When you break it down, there's very little which makes a gaming router distinctly useful for gaming. For the most part, gaming routers really just take features that already exist on regular routers, and make them a little simpler to access.
