Beats Studio Buds Review

The true wireless Beats Studio Buds deliver thunderous bass depth matched by crisp highs for a balanced mix, with decent noise cancellation for a reasonable price. Apple's AirPods Pro are some of the best noise-cancelling true wireless earphones on the market, but at $249, they're among the most expensive. Apple owns Beats, and the Beats Studio Buds are loaded with AirPods Pro-like features for just $149.99, including active noise cancellation (ANC), Spatial Audio for Apple Music’s new Dolby Atmos-mixed tracks, and one-touch pairing for both iOS Android devices. From an audio standpoint, the Studio Buds deliver a powerful, bass-forward experience, and manage to keep the highs crisp. Noise cancellation is decent, but you definitely get what you pay for. And while many of the included features share similarities with the AirPods Pro, they aren't as polished. Ready for Android and iOS Available in black, red, or white, the Studio Buds are on the tiny end of the true wireless earpiece scale. Their small size can make them a little more difficult to place in your ear at first, and their slick surface doesn’t necessarily help. Once in place, howe...
Pros:
  • Relatively affordable active noise cancellation
  • Huge bass matched with crisp, balanced highs
  • Easy-to-use on-ear controls
  • One-touch pairing with Android and iOS
  • Solid iOS integration
Cons:
  • Noise cancellation is merely average
  • No USB-A adapter or wireless charging capability
  • Not for anyone seeking an accurate sound signature

Beats Studio Buds review

The Beats Studio Buds are a fantastic pair of true wireless buds, offering a lot to love at a reasonable price. With a refined sound signature, they deliver superb performance for the money, with decent noise-cancellation, a comfortable design and a more inclusive approach for Android users. Their feature set isn’t as extensive as some buds out there, while the Transparency mode and phone call quality leaves a little to be desired. Battery life could be a touch better, too. But these are minor grumbles in an otherwise convincing little package. Beats has found its stride.
Pros:
  • Bold and punchy sound
  • Spacious and detailed presentation
  • Comfortable design
  • Decent ANC
Cons:
  • Slightly harsh treble
  • No volume control
  • Phone calls a little weak
