Instruction manual
I tried to setup the self timer. I read the manual (a PDF document, and on P. 57 it has instructions. It says to press function set, then an icon for self timer. Function set results in a menu with 2 icons that look close to the icon in the manual.
Pros:
- Lightweight/Portable
Cons:
- Difficult to use
- Complicated controls/menu

Best camera I have used
This camera is so easy to use and the photo's are really good for anyone that doesn't want to mess about. No worries about the batteries running out while on a day trip out. Recently used it for a trip to the London Aqarium. Pictures were amazing even without a flash!

- Compact
- small
- good zoom and sharp pictures
Cons:
- Better models available
- lack of stabilisation and noisy

camera
Quite disappointed with the camera although it looks good, there is a delay between taking the shot and the camera taking the photo, hence lots of not so good pictures. Also flash not too good.

Cannon Camera A2300
I broke my camera in the battery store - and I'm glad I did. Because I bought a new camera - Cannon A2300 and I love it. It's very easy to use and the pictures come out great - just point and shoot. It's easy to develop them on the computer also. The price is affordable - good value for the money.

nice cam....grt service by croma
purchased this product to gift it to my friend on his wedding. Cam is really nice with its looks and with canon you need not to worry about the lens quality. lot of options to explore inside. croma's service is one of the best.

Excellent Camera - Highly Recommend
I have owned the same Olympus camera for the past 12 years. I refused to get rid of the big and bulky older model because it took such high quality pictures. I didn't think any camera out there could top it but I was wrong. This little camera packs a lot of bang for the buck.
Pros:
- Easy set up
- Light weight
- Easy to use
- Battery life is good
- Color is vibrant
Cons:
- Not super clear under dim lighting

After using several Powershot A's and an IXUS 90IS as a companion to my dSLR's I bought this camera after the IXUS took a hit on the street. The thing is cheap, but so were other Canon Powershot A's. The image quality of this thing however is terrible in comparisson. The main problem is noise.

Canon PowerShot A2300 review: Canon PowerShot A2300
The entry-level Canon PowerShot A2400 IS and its IS-less linemate the A2300 are simple cameras with nice picture quality for casual snapshooters, but the price difference isn't worth sacrificing the image stabilization. When it comes to entry-level point-and-shoots, Canon's A-series PowerShots consistently excel in picture quality. That certainly holds true for the 16-megapixel A2400 IS and A2300.
Pros:
- The Canon PowerShot A2400 IS and PowerShot A2300 have very good picture quality for their class and are loaded with effects and filters.
Cons:
- The cameras' flat buttons and cramped layout may make use difficult for some and shooting performance is slow, particularly shot-to-shot
- The lenses require a lot of light or high ISOs when zoomed in
- Battery life is short.
