Best point and shoot we've ever owned
We had heard great things about this camera from friends and reviews online, and boy were they right. It's great in low light and it's features are great. Highly recommend this camera for someone who wants basic SLR quality in a compact camera.

Great camera
I had purchase the SX 150 in September of 2012 and was disappointed with it's performance. Everything about it was sub par and I was considering going back to using my A570is when I decided to purchase the G15 in April of 2013. After using the G15 now for 6 months, I can give it a great review.

An upgrade from my Canon 990 IS!
I previously had a Canon 990 so my thoughts on this G12 are based on that camera. I like that this camera has many of the 990 features that I am use to. The next pix delay on this camera is much shorter, the low light and flash performance exceeds that of the 990, and the controls on this camera are...
Pros:
- Excellent in low light
- Excellent manual
- External Flash Capable
- Fits in my pocket
- Made Of Quality Materials
- Many usable features
- Optical Viewfinder
Cons:
- Heavier Than Previous Cam
- somewhat bulky

Great little camera
Very pleased with this - bought it for those occasions when you don't feel like lugging a DSLR. Wanted sharp, quality pictures and versatility, and this camera delivers in spades, in a convenient pocket sized package. Yes, the optical viewfinder is a tad basic but it does the job.

I was extremely disappointed.
Camera was damaged and I had to send it back. Whether the damage occurred in the mail or it was overlooked, one will never know. I was extremely disappointed.

A beautifully built do-it-all camera whose superb lens and workhorse sensor provide excellent image quality.
In some recent reviews, we've taken Canon to task for a lack of innovation in their consumer-oriented product lines. The ELPH 110 HS , PowerShot S110 , and EOS Rebel T4i were all frankly lazy updates to well-worn camera concepts, and the time-battered T3 hasn't even gotten an update.

I bought this camera to substitute my 60D when I'm travelling, which is most of the time. It is as the DPReview test states, a solid camera whose deeper modes and features are easily accessible without having to dive into menus or go searching for elusive buttons.
