"Hideo Kojima's Next New Game."
It's about dam time that Hideo Kojima makes a big impact of his own. His Own Studio and also being a Publisher at the same time. It's superb. After what Konami did to Hideo Kojima back in 2015 and preventing him attending the game awards. Konami can go to hell.
A journey for the people - Death Stranding review
As time has passed, the world has become more and more connected. We went from being spread out with no way to communicate except in person to being able to communicate on the plethora of social media we have now.- Engaging story with twists and turns
- Stealth
- exploration
- combat
- and inventory management mesh well
- Amazing cast and incredible open-world
- Kojima's trademark weirdness alongside a beautiful message about connections
Death Stranding Review
While Death Stranding will surely be the most divisive game of this generation, there is no arguing that it offers new ideas on pushing the medium forward and shows that games don't always typically have to be "fun".- + Superb acting performances
- + Amazing sense of place in the world
- + Satisfying and deep story with plenty of answers
- + Beautiful score & soundtrack
- + Excellent graphics & performance
- + Slow-burn gameplay compliments story perfectly
- + Lots of amazing cutscenes
- + Genuinely feels like you've...
- - Not "fun" in the typical way, - Will be too slow for many
- (not me, - Too many cutscenes for some
- (again, not me, - Some clipping, - Sam often moves a bit strangely on tricky terrain, - Looks a bit silly when Sam has massive a pile of packages on his back, - Most Bridge bases look exactly the...
Death Stranding Review | A weapon to surpass Metal Gear
Death Stranding is an anomaly in the video game industry. With AAA studios firmly entrenched, we seldom get to see a brand new studio like Kojima Productions get a blockbuster budget, A-list celebrity casting, and the backing of Sony for their first title.- One of the best stories in a game to date
- Deceptively simple
- but addictive gameplay loop
- Amazing casting and acting
- Excellent graphics
- sound
- and performance
- Cohesive design
- Lets you take on the story at your pace without losing a sense of urgency
Death Stranding - PlayStation 4
Do you like walking Do you like building things Do you like delivering packages Do you like Monster brand energy drinks If you answered yes to all of these than this is the game for you!
Even though it's a USPS delivery simulator, it's a great one.
Great one and the most intense one for sure. One weekend in, I can definitely say I like the game. The core game mechanics does feel like a mini-game, but online features and a great story behind it make it a pretty deep experience. Hideo Kojima once again delivered, pardon me for the pun. If you have a PS4, this game is a must-buy.
Mindblowing
Everything about this game blew me away, the story is stellar, the gameplay has you balancing a fine line between need and necessity by having a weight limit on what you can carry, so you have to genuinely plan your journeys, the music is phenomenal-absolutely spot on.
PlayStation 4 Death Stranding 9951308 review
Hideo Kojima is the only game designer in the world who can sell a title with his name alone. After his tumultuous tenure at Konami came to a close, he was free of the Metal Gear Solid franchise and sought to open his own game studio.
This is a game both like and unlike any you have played before
In Death Stranding you will find a lot of mechanics that have annoyed you before: the world is open, large and empty; there are stamina meters; enforced sneaking sections; there is nothing but fetch quests; and combat is pretty simple. But it works. All these mechanics are polished to the point of shining, and they somehow all mesh together to be a lot of fun. And you are rewards for your efforts. The online and building mechanics make it so that you go from struggling to complete a single delivery at the start to zipping around America dropping off cargo in minutes by the end game – if you are properly prepared. And combat is the same – Sam isn't a solider, and it feels like it. But with skill and preparation there is (almost) nothing in the game you can't defeat – especially if you have done the work to get the multi-fire rocket launcher and are carrying two or three of them. Also, defeating one of the bosses by tying him up repeatedly and kicking the **** out of him is satisfying.
