With a stunning trim-bezel screen, heaps of power on tap, ample ports (including full-size USB), and a great-looking finish throughout, the MateBook X Pro is, in many ways, the Windows laptop equivalent of the Apple MacBook Pro.
Tiny screen bezel makes for a striking display; Good battery life for a laptop of this spec; Full-size USB and USB-C feature; Great typing experience;
Screen a little glossy and therefore reflective; Camera placement under F7 key doesn't make for pretty viewing; Battery can crumple when asking a little extra;
New hardware, same performance? Huawei updated its MateBook X Pro, and the new model features a combination of Intel Comet Lake CPU and Nvidia GeForce GPU. Unfortunately, performance was relatively poor and the dedicated GPU was even outperformed by some integrated GPUs.
After reviewing the 2020 revision of the MateBook X Pro we are under the impression that Huawei simp...
attractive design and great case; high-quality touchscreen display; decent input devices; fast Wi-Fi; long battery life; MateDock 2 included;
performance not any better than on predecessor; CPU and GPU both remain well below their capabilities; poor webcam position and quality; no Thunderbolt 3 license; highly reflective display; no maintenance options;

The MateBook X is a pretty bit of kit, with an exceptionally slim and lightweight design and a keyboard and touchpad that make the laptop a joy to use. That comes with compromises to ports, performance, and that webcam, but I think the trade-offs will be worth it for all but the power user.
Slim and lightweight; Beautiful design; 3:2 aspect ratio; Fantastic keyboard & touchpad;
Unflattering webcam; Limited ports; Not a powerhouse;
The Huawei MateBook X Pro is a great all-round laptop with a lovely ultra-portable design, gorgeous 2K display and a performance decent enough to handle basic productivity tasks. A terrible webcam and a reflective display are the main factors holding it back from challenging the Dell XPS, but it's still a great value option for the likes of students and office workers
Looks fantastic; Screen aspect-ratio is great for productivity; Lots of good specs for the price; That green colour;
Reflective screen; Everything about the webcam is bad; SD slot would have been the icing on the cake;
