MSI Optix MAG271CR
MSI's latest Optix screen is a bit of an enigma, although it features an impressive spec list, the lack of availability right now, damages the overall accessibility of it.
Pros:
- Color is exceptional
- Price point is good
- 144 Hz and curved
Cons:
- Pixel density suffers at 27-inches

MSI Optix MAG271CQR Gaming Monitor : Vivid and Versatile
At this writing, the MSI Optix MAG271CQR sells for $400. That makes it a little pricier than some 27-inch QHD monitors, but not as costly as premium ones. The bang-for-the-buck quotient is high with a subtle but beneficial curvature, super-colorful image and fantastic gaming performance.
Pros:
- Bright
- saturated image
- High contrast
- Low input lag and motion blur
- Build quality
- AMD FreeSync
- can run G-Sync unofficially
- 144 Hz refresh rate
Cons:
- sRGB mode is inaccurate
- Gamma tracking could be better

- Vivid high colour gamut
- Plenty of features
- Freesync great for AMD gamers
Cons:
- No G-Sync for Nvidia gamers
- Can't turn off high colour gamut
- Mediocre gaming performance

Great Value
I have purchased this monitor to replace my Benq GL2450 which was a great monitor. The reason for upgrade was due to wanting to make the most out of the extra fps my pc is capable of over the 60 of the Benq. The build and aesthetics of the monitor are very good.

MY Review of the MSI Optix MAG271CQR Upon opening the box I am greeted with an HDMI cable. A display port cable, a power cable and a USB cable. The rest of the box included the monitor and the stand which is very easy to assemble in under 5 minutes.

I think 1440p 27 inches is the sweet spot for gaming. Coming from a 1080p 24 inch flat monitor this is heaven. I almost went up to 32 inches but I'm glad I didn't because even this monitor took a little getting used to. Thankfully my monitor came with no dead pixels that I have noticed yet.

Nice picture, dead and stuck pixels spoil it.
Bought this three weeks ago and have spent the last two weeks dealing with the incredibly slow MSI support department. It has a dead pixel in the top left corner I can live with and understand it happens BUT there is also a stuck (Red) pixel in the middle at the bottom, right in my field of vision.

Fantastic monitor, best bang for the buck
Great monitor with beautiful colors, fast response time, and high refresh rate. Can hardly tell a difference between this monitor and my Acer Predator XB271HU which costs about $200 more. Has very slight back-light bleed as is usual with monitors these days. Overall, fantastic monitor and for $300!
