This game is a lot better than the first it has a much better story and it's free rome. The game also lacks violence now with no blood so it's very clean. Also there's not much language they mostly only use the d word but rarely it is a great fun game with amazing parkour and I suggest it to any...
Was good but I was hoping for more the open world held it back a bit because there was lack of colors making the world dull. I liked the parkour it has very good and fluid parkour.
Most games have an inherent learning curve to the controls. Then, after awhile, you adapt, the control structure gets out of the way, and you can simply enjoy the challenge of the game itself. Mirror's Edge Catalyst is not one of those games. Oh, there's a learning curve, to be sure.
A more open world for our free running adventures in Mirrors Edge Catalyst
What a shame, then, that it's an all-too-familiar tale for this sequel. The original Mirror's Edge was always a great idea somewhat obscured - how frustrating to find Catalyst polishes the premise only to find itself burdened with a new set of shackles.
Good game, nice views and action fluidity, however I thought the fighting was quite repetitive, the main story was really quite short and the final 'show down' I expected to be a very exciting and challenging fight, but instead it was 2 standard enemies that aren't at all a challenge
Mirror's Edge's return shines in some regards, but is ultimately a disappointment.
There are moments of this game that come off very serene. If the job of a video game is to relieve stress, this game brings that with spades. At least, that is until you start tackling some of the random side quests with far too tight time restrictions, or navigating the confusing maze of a map once...
There are moments when all of Mirror's Edge Catalyst's components fall into place, moments when intricate level design allows the fluid freerunning to shine, the mission at hand delivers a memorable set piece, or the open world surprises with a cleverly hidden area.
Satisfying; nuanced movement mechanics; Rewarding open-world exploration; Huge mix of worthwhile side content
Clunky though largely avoidable combat; Mediocre storytelling
