The Nikon Z 50 is great for landscape photography. Image quality is impressive, with excellent dynamic range to bring out more highlight and shadow detail. There isn't too much noise at higher ISO settings, so it performs okay in low light.
Pros:
- Great image quality., Comfortable to operate., Well-built and weather-sealed.
Cons:
- Not the most portable option., Mediocre battery performance.

The Z50 is reasonably priced and doesn’t disappoint. We were super impressed by the autofocus system; it performed very well. We would have liked it to have more dynamic range, but for the price it is acceptable. Its low light performance is fine, though a bit below most mirrorless cameras.

The Nikon Z50 enters the APS-C mirrorless market with the wide-diameter Z-mount introduced for the full-frame Z6 and Z7. Two dim variable-aperture DX lenses were introduced with the Z50, although it works withe all native Z-mount lenses.

- Accurate autofocus
- Quick and responsive

- Good battery-life
Cons:
- Slow AF in low-light
- Poor Continuous AF
- Touch-only controls
- Poor EC button location
- Preview not always Exposure-Priority
- Bizarre Auto ISO
- Only DX lenses are dim
- Condensation prone

The Z50 is a nice little camera that is fun to use and surprisingly capable. Its control layout will be familiar to photographers who already use Nikon DSLRs.
